There are things you do in life and when you reflect back on your actions you almost feel like punching yourself. Because right now as I look at my videos from yesterday that's exactly how I feel like punching myself. As Chase and Chloe continue to recount the events of last night, I couldn't help but wish that the ground would open up and swallow me alive.

Some strip dancing was done, a lot of giggling and worst of all the kiss. Normally a kiss wouldn't be a big deal to me, but this one was messed up. First, I was the one who approached the guy and forcefully implanted a kiss on him. But that wasn't the worst part, I kissed Kaden.

I kissed Kaden and he rejected me.

Well that was embarassing. I couldn't imagine how I would face him when I went to school on Monday. Boys, why did I have to have the worst luck when it came to them? None of my relationships lasted for more than a month and the only one that had survived for at least six months ended up with my heart being broken really badly. I can't think about Kaden. I can't have another breakup.

Chloe leaves the house at around 6 saying she had a family dinner. Chase on the other hand claimed he went to see some girl. Translation: I'm going to bang this chic don't wait up. I cooked some noodles since that is the only thing I can cook without burning the kitchen. I plop down on the couch in the sitting room as I flip through the channels trying to find something to watch. I settle for watching a rerun of Keeping up with the Kardashians on E.

Meanwhile I switch on my phone to look through my messages. There are several from my group chats which I skim through quickly then move on to the individual ones.

Besty: I'm home. Whatcha doing?  This dinner is so boring!!!!!

Typical Chloe. She hates family dinners.

Unknown: Hey its Kaden. Just wanted to know if you arrived home safe.

How did Kaden get my number? So I ask him exactly that.

Me: Hey. I got home safe. How did you get my number btw?

For Chloe I write:

Me: Haha. Serves you right for laughing at me.

After a few minutes my phone buzzes with a message. When I check the screen, the message is from Kaden.

Kaden: You gave me your number yesterday at the party.

Oh my God is there anything I actually didn't do at this party?

Me: Why didn't you just delete it?

Kaden : Why would I delete a pretty girl's number?

I blushed. He thought I was pretty.

Me: Uh thanks.

My eyes feel heavy and I switch off the tv and go to bed.

***********
Sunday goes by pretty uneventful. Chase is grumpy; I suspect things did not go as planned with that girl he went to see. Blake and Isabella attend brunch with their friends and I just spent the day trying to finish my assignments.

When Monday comes, I don't even want to go to school. Remembering how my videos have been doing rounds on social media until Chase used his connections to make the people who posted them to delete them, but even though he still managed to get them off the Internet the damage was still done. Everyone in school had already seen them. If I was not famous I'm pretty sure I would be after this stunt. I sigh deeply. This was definitely not what I wanted for my final year in school. I just wanted to remain in the shadows. I wanted to blame Chloe but it wasn't her fault that I took alcohol and got myself drunk. Memories of my past come rushing back to me. Memories I had buried somewhere at the back of my brain. No, I can't let that happen again.

At school, the situation is just as I expected it to be. People pointing at me and talking in low voices. I didn't even go to the cafeteria for lunch. I ate my lunch, a sandwich, in the washrooms and pretty much spent any free time I had in the library. I was avoiding one particular guy. I couldn't face him yet. So far I had managed to avoid him for the bigger part of the day. I was almost doing my celebratory dance as I was going to the parking lot to drive home when I saw him lying on the hood of his car which was conveniently parked next to mine. I was about to turn back only for him to catch my eye.

He had already seen me. There was no use hiding now. So I put on my big girl undies and walked over to where he was standing. Even in an oversized tshirt and jeans he managed to still look breathtaking.

"Are you avoiding me?" he asks.

Yup. No greetings just straight to the point.

"Why would you say that?"

Both of us know the answer to that but I need to buy myself time.

"Really? Okay then. Well you haven't been picking my calls or answering my texts and when I called you in the hallway you ran the opposite direction. Do I still need to give any more reasons?"

"Well, I have been busy the entire weekend so I couldn't text you or receive your calls and I didn't hear you call me in the hallway."

Way to go Alex! Totally nailed it. You should consider a career in law.

"Is this about the party?" he asks looking at me intently.

Uh oh. I don't have a comeback for this one so I remain silent avoiding his eyes.

"It is, isn't it?" he asks again smirking at me.

"What happened never happened. Just forget it okay? Good." I say walking over to my car.

Before I could get to my car, he yanks my wrist making me face him once again.

"How could I? When you were telling me how hot I am," he says wiggling his eyebrows.

I swear if I see Chloe I will just kill her. God, this is so embarassing. By now I look like a distant relative of the tomato family with his continuous mocking.

"I was drunk! I didn't know what I was saying!"

I yank my wrist from his grip. This time he doesn't stop me. He is still laughing at my mortification.

"Whatever helps you sleep Alex," he manages to say in between his bouts of laughter.

Jerk. I will make you pay. Just wait and see. No one messes with this queen and gets away with it.
