Ciara had a letter from some man named Charles Dull. Mrs. Coleman had given it to her a few minutes ago. She was sitting on "her bed" hesitating to open it.

Please let this be some good news. I can't handle anything else bad. I've got bags under my eyes and I'm not eating right. I feel horrible.

As she opens the letter it reads as follows:

Dear Ms. Young,
We are glad to inform you that your mother has added you to her visiting list. The request has went through and you will be able to see your mother twice a week.
We hope this has brightened your day.
                                              Charles Dull.

Wait. OMG. I can go visit my mother? I can visit my mother! I can visit my mother.
Well I guess that's what I'm doing today.

"Hey, you wanna go to the mall? Get some clothes? Walk around?" Akira had asked

"I would love to, but sorry I can't. I have something important planned. I promise tomorrow I'll go. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, that's fine. I'll just chill today. Have fun wherever your going."

I nodded so she wouldn't think i was ignoring her but inside my head i said I'll try.

Hopefully my mom will give me some answers. She can't not tell me right?
I deserve to know. This is affecting my life too.

As I was picking out my clothes I heard my phone ring.
It was Prosper. Should I answer it?  No, he's probably the one who did this to me.

I got dressed, put my curls in a bun and was about to head out the door when my phone rang again. Guess who? Prosper.

"What do you want? Mr. Coleman."

"Look I had nothing to do with whatever mess you or your family is in. I was just calling to apologize for what was going on with your parents and mine."

"What was going on? Can somebody please tell me something."

"I could get in really big trouble for telling information. I'm sorry, I can't."

"You care more about yourself than about helping me get closure on why my mom is in jail and my dad is God knows where? You should be sorry. Your a sneaky, backstabbing, lying, manipulating Coleman just like the rest of your family. I really hate you!"

"Ciara please. I didn't mean for this to happen. I didn't know this would happen."

"So you did do it. You- you- I don't even know anymore."

"I'm sorry, I gotta go."

                                          •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"Do you have anything in your pockets? If so put it in the bin please." Some lady said all dryly.

I did as told. Then had to walk through a metal detector machine, and had to be patted down.
