The bell rang and school was over when it started suddenly raining. I immediately thought of the notebook being ruined in the rain. Yoongi has P.E. first hour and he probably leaves it at school overnight. I need to do something.

I quickly ran to the football field and jumped over the locked gate in the rain as it started getting heavier and harder, beating against my bare skin. I didn't know it was going to rain that day so I didn't bring a jacket.

When I got to the notebook, I quickly picked it up and shoved it under my sweatshirt and held it against my stomach. I ran back to cover and by the time I got there my hair was soaking wet and my clothes were damp. The notebook's leather covered it from most of the rain. The pages were slightly rippled at the edges but it survived without smudging the blue ink.

It was my first time opening the notebook and not seeing a reply from Yoongi. It was an odd realization that he actually exists. It's not magic. He's real.

My mother picked me up from school like usual and all the way home I could only think about how to get the notebook back in its place before the first hour or at least before Yoongi starts missing his notebook.

"Rachel!" a woman's voice screamed at me, "Rachel!"

I opened my eyes and lifted my head. Oh shit! I fell asleep at my desk when I was doing homework. My notes were all over the place and my laptop was left open and dead.

"Yeah?" I called out automatically.

"Come on! We are going to be late!" my mother screamed. Oh shit!

I quickly shoved everything into my school bag and threw on my uniform. I brushed my teeth and in only a few minutes I was in the car. I rapidly apologized to my mother as I tied my bed hair into a ponytail.

I was late by ten minutes that morning. Celeste looked up at me from her desk as I walked in with a tardy slip and silently sat next to her, handing the teacher my slip on my way to my desk. I awkwardly asked her to email the notes I missed in the time I missed. She said she already sent them when she saw me walk in late.

As I pulled out my binder and laptop, I saw the black notebook. Suddenly a very horrible anxious feeling crawled into my gut. Oh no. What is Yoongi going to think? I knew it wasn't that big of a deal but it meant I was going to miss a chance to read his words.

All I could think all class long was Yoongi realizing the notebook was missing. Is he sad not to hear from me? How does he think about me taking his notebook? Should I have I just left it? What if he was on his way to take it home and I took it before he arrived to grab it?

When third hour was over, I left holding the black notebook in my hands. The hard leather was oddly comforting in my hands. I wanted to make sure I didn't lose it before putting it back in its place.

It snack and at the end of the hall, I could see Celeste and Lucas leaning against the lockers including hers. As I approached them someone goofing around bumped into me pushing me down onto the floor hallway in front of a bunch of students hurrying around. Everyone stopped and watched me fall onto all fours.

The notebook slid away from me and hit Lucas's feet. He bent down to pick it up. I watched him with horror as he opened the cover. I watched his face turn from normal to disgust.

"Oh my god," he laughed. Everyone watched him eagerly at the interesting scene. High schools feed off gossip after all. "Look, Celeste." He showed her the notebook. Her face didn't change. She didn't say anything.

"Lucas, give me my notebook," I demanded, getting back up on my feet. My hands stung from the impact of the floor.

"Are you talking to yourself?" he laughed with disbelief.

"What?" I looked at him shocked. There was nothing I could say as an excuse. Oh no, I'm just writing notes to a senior boy I've never met. You know just the usual. "What? No!" I defended myself with horror.

Celeste looked at me like I was the weirdest, creepiest person ever. My face was on fire. I just knew it was redder than a tomato. I was so terrified. My face hardened and I looked back over at Lucas who was laughing so hard he had to hug his stomach. The people who stopped to watch were laughing with him and whispering among themselves. The freshman boys who knocked me over awkwardly walked away, staring at me like I was about to rip their faces off.

"Lucas, give me my notebook," I demanded again. He laughed and walked over to hand me the notebook. He grinned at me as I snatched the book out of his hands. I immediately turned around to face the circle of people surrounding me. They broke apart as I ran away. My eyes stinging, I could hear Lucas laughing his ass off behind me as I ran.
