Lucy sighed and lifted her bag onto her shoulder. Opening the door, she gave her father a small wave before leaving the house for school.

Looking around at the usual street corners and shops, she tries to read all the signs on the way.

But obviously, she couldn't. She racked her brain to try and remember what all the mixed up letters meant, bit couldn't remember at all.

She knew one said 'Harry's Fish and Chips' but didn't know which one. She could only try and tell from what they where cooking inside.

Crossing the road, she waited for the light to go red and the green man to come up before walking across. Sadly, when she came to the other end, her usual bully's where there to stop her.

"Oh look" said a boy with blond hair. "It's Miss I'm so stupid I can't read" he sniggered.

Lucy avoided his gaze and stayed put. She knew not to mess with him, he was one of the best basketball players in Magnolia.

Sting Eucliffe roles his eyes and went to grab the girls bag, only to be stopped by a group of people who where passing by.

"Leave her alone Sting, what's she done to you?" A small blue haired hole spoke to he obviously larger male.

The blond glared at her before turning and walking forward, stopping right in front of her. "Or what? Gunna hit me small fry?"

A small growl emoted from one of the group members. A teenager with long black hair and piercings cover most of his face stared at Sting with hatred.

Sting looked over at him and sighed, knowing it wasn't wise to start something with the captain of the wrestling and boxing team.

Leaving Lucy alone, he pushed his way past the group and walked off, not even bothering to walk in the direction of the school.

The bluenette called Levy Magarden rushed over to Lucy and gave her a small smile. "Are you okay?"

Giving a short nod to the female and a whisper of a 'thank you', Lucy walked by her and continued her way to school. Leaving the group of four behind.

"Isn't she Lucy Heartfillia?" Droy asked Jet.

Jet nodded and scratched the back of his head. "Sure is Droy, riches girls at school and dumb as a doornail".

Levy looked over at her two best friends and sighed. She didn't understand why everyone hated Lucy. So, she made it her mission to become friends with her.
