Pilot

As you sit there at your creaking computer desk, you continue doing your Science homework, steadily browsing for the answers.
You check your phone, 7 minutes until the release of your favorite bands first single.
You sign and stare over at your empty pill bottle. Depression isn't always easy, especially when you're out of your medication.
All you think about is death and how much you hate everyone. Surprisingly enough, as you being the emo girl in class who listens to nothing but heavy metal and screamo, your favorite band the "Beatline Boys" takes your mind off of all your pain inside.
No, they're not hard style at all, there more modern day pop. You still don't know what it is about them that makes you so oddly attracted to their music.
3 minutes until the release, you go on to the iTunes Store, constantly refreshing the search for "Beatline Boys."
Finally, it pops up. "Beatline Boys - Beautiful Soul."
Everything around you stops as you tap the final button to buy the song.
As you listen to it, everything inside of you calms. The wish of death, and the worry of having to deal with people at work and school, suddenly all fades away.
All that matters at that place and time, is the glorious sound playing through your earbuds.
It ends and you put it on repeat.
You check the time, it's 12:04 A.M.
You still have school in the morning, but thankfully it's Thursday, so tomorrow is the last day until you get a break from your own personal hell.
Quickly, you speed through your homework, not caring if you got the correct answers or not. You just want to go to sleep with the sound of your favorite band, and people rushing through your ears.
