And when that sun goes down,
You'll raise your cup,
I Lived-One RepublicHermione was wearing the most beautiful pretty purple and pink ruffle dress. Ginny and I were gaping at her. Hermione was just straight and pure beauty. Her teeth were straight because of a accident a while ago, with Malfoy. She ended up getting Madame Promfrey to get them perfectly straight. We had her put her hair up in a sort of half up half down hairstyle.
Ginny had a teal dress that wasn't very flow well, but looked cute. It had a white collar, and had buttons. We did her hair straight and she wore black flats. It makes sense, she's only thirteen and wouldn't be going if Neville hadn't asked her.
When it was my turn, I took a shower using my coconut shampoo and tropical conditioner. I used a spell to dry myself and my hair off then wrapped my towel around me. When I stepped out of bathroom, Ginny and Hermione forced me to sit down while Ginny does my hair and Hermione does my make up. Ginny curls my hair at the bottom then braids the top and clasps it together with one of my mother's flowers. Hermione put concealer on me then adds mascara. She puts a pale pink lip stick. She adds blush then paints my nails pink to.
I wait patiently, while Hermione magically uses her wand to pop my dress on me. My dress is teal and shows skin. It has a mix of a V-neck and a sweet heart neckline and underneath it, it cuts in. Silver jewels line the top and from the back, the dress opens where the cut is. I put on white heels and then my jewelry. I wear earrings that have a oval shaped milky white stone hanging from it. My necklace is simple with another silver jewel to match my dress.
Over all of this, I still think my (real) mother's flower was the best part. I need to wear it more.
Once we were done, we rushed to the ship where the ball was in, We arrived, just minutes before the ball started to see Ronald in the most disgusting robes I have ever seen in my life. They were ghastly, and I heard Ginny talk about them, but this was bad.
I held in my snickers, as Hermione and I let Ginny go down first. She went over to Neville. I listened in Harry and Ronald's conversation, which was about Hermione and I.
Hermione eavesdropped with me as we listened.
"I bet they still don't have dates. Probably crying in the dorm room, and left so early that we'd forget about them. Or maybe they just got dressed up for nothing," Ron gossiped.
"Yeah, who would want to go with them?"
I was beginning to get offended and so was Hermione. I hope we could prove them wrong?
I shoved Hermione out, but she caught herself carefully and walked down in her heels like a swan. She was graceful and I could tell everyone was gaping. I heard Harry's date nudge him and talk about Hermione being beautiful. She looked back at me and gave a glare. I just shrugged, and gave her a flirty wink, mocking Ronald in Hermione and my imagination. She giggled and walked over to Victor Krum, her dazzling hot date.
Guess she just proved Harry and Ronald wrong.
My turn?
I waited a couple more seconds before Hermione looked at me and nodded. I sucked in a breath, to calm my twisted stomach. It was like ripping off a bandaid. Just do it fast and it won't be so bad. I stumbled out, and wasn't ever so graceful as Hermione. A couple of people giggled until they started gaping. I stood like a deer in headlights and hoped I was blazing my dumb Veela powers everywhere.
My stomach was becoming even more twisted as everyone was silent while I walked down. Was I too ugly? Or too pretty? Maybe I should go?
I stepped down the stairs--still ungracefully-- and headed towards West, who managed to drop his mouth so low, that I was afraid a fish out of water might drop in. I felt a hard stare on my back and turned around to see Harry. I turned back around and focused my gaze on West, and took his hand. I could see Ron face become colored with jealousy towards Victor.
Slowly a song began to play for the people entered in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. I watched as my three friends danced with their dates, and I watched Fleur a bit too.
Then the rest of us joined in, West and I weren't too bad at this. We danced properly for the slow songs, then as the night went on, crazy for the loud ones. We joined Hermione and Victor, and West seemed to like them. It was a fun night, but I was easily getting tired. When we were done dancing for a while, West and Victor went to get us drinks, while we talked with Harry and Ron. Hermione began talking to Ron, while I talked to Harry.
"West huh?" He asked.
"Yeah..." I sighed, dreamily.
"So how bad of a bad boy is he?"
"What...?" My eyes widened.
"Is he a bad boy? He's Slytherin, right? So is he a bad boy?" Harry repeated.
"No. Why would being a Slytherin make you bad?" My voice was starting to rise.
"I don't know, every witch and wizard who's ever gone bad, well...they were in Slytherin," Harry stated.
"So does that make me bad? Since you know, you're talking to a Slytherin!"
"No!"
"Then what are you trying to say here, Harry?"
"Why do you like West!"
I stood there shocked. Was Harry jealous of me being with West? Why would he be jealous?
"It's none of your business!"
Then Harry kissed me, harsh and quick, and stated, "Yes it is."
Then walked off with Ron, who had angered Hermione. I stood there, frozen.
I had just had my first kiss.
With Harry, nonetheless. I sat on the staircase with Hermione, and removed my heels.
"Boys are...tough?" I said.
She nodded, in agreement.
Then we told our dates we wanted to go to bed early, and we went our separate ways.
