That Voice

A/N: Haven't updated in a long time & didn't even publish a chapter for 2017 so I thought maybe why not one with Eren's mom? I got the idea from my mom because really, she means the world to me & has always had my back while I had hers. This sounds more like mother's day but hey have some feels:)

"Eren? Eren, honey? Time to get up."

That voice.

"Eren."

I always loved that voice ever since I was little.

"I'm awake mommy!" I pushed the covers off, jumping out of bed to hug my mother. "Mommy!"

Warmth filled my body.

"Morning Eren. How did you sleep?"

I looked up to see her warm smile that could bloom even a flower.

"I slept good Mommy! Is Dad back yet? You said he'd be back last month."

Those lies she told me.

"Dad is really busy right now. He said maybe another month he'll be home to hug you." She held my hand. "Come or else your breakfast will get cold."

Those sweet lies she told me so i don't cry.

I nodded. "Can we go to the park later? Armin has a toy truck and he said he'll let me play with it! Please Mommy? I've been a good boy!"

She was going to tell me no but for some reason, her eyes soften when i asked like, she was about to cry.

"Of course but finish your cereal and I'll take you, okay?"

I was only five yet I got everything.  She took me to the park. She tied my shoes. She kissed my bruises. Yet I saw sadness in those eyes for 10 years straight.

"Hey Mom?"

I called her name over and over again but I didn't get a response.

"Mom? Mom? Mom!"

The house was quiet.

Nothing was cooking.

Nothing was turned on.

Lights were off.

Laundry wasn't done.

Nothing in the fridge.

Only me.

"Mom..."

I went outside looking around the house but there wasn't a sign of her anywhere.

"Eren!"

That voice.

That voice!

"Mom!"

Three men had her. Three men I didn't recognize.

"Eren! Leave please! I dont want you to see this! Leave!"

Tears filled those beautiful eyes that I saw every morning. I don't want tears. I don't want to see her cry. I can't stand seeing her cry.

"Mom! What's going on? What are they going to do to you!? Mom!"

I was about to charge toward her but I was saw something silver being pulled from one of the men's pocket.

"EREN! LEAVE NOW! PLEASE LEAVE! I DON'T WANT YOU TO SEE THIS!"

More tears filled her eyes, stroking down her cheeks as they hit the grass.

"LEAVE RIGHT NOW! LISTEN TO ME!"
