Chapter 3

3: New Home

Rin's POV

We continued jumping from tree to tree until we got to a house in the middle of the woods. I looked lonely. We jumped onto the deck. He walked to the door, opened and closed it, and set me on his bed. He grabbed bandages and wrapped my legs and arms.

"Thanks" I said.

He looked up at me.

"You aren't scared of me?" He asked unsurly.

"How could I be afraid of someone so nice. Plus you saved me"

He smiled at me.

"I'm Ash"

"I'm Rin"

I gasped.

"Snowdrop. We left her there."

I stood up but fell. I didn't fall onto the hard floor but I fell onto something soft. I saw Ash's arms around me.

"I'll get her. Your too weak to move right now. Go lay down and get some rest"

I nodded and got into the bed as he ran out. I got under the cover and just stared at the left wall.

He's so nice and cute... why am I thinking like this!? Mother warned me to stay away from them but Ash is so lonely.. he's so kind and caring. How can he be dangerous?

I kept thinking as I slowly fell asleep.

Ash's POV

Rin seemed like a nice girl. She was hurt pretty badly. I found a white cat guessing it was Snowdrop and picked her up and turned to head back. I saw another half-demon. He had orange ears and hair. His eyes were brown. My old friend..

"Claw. What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Came to check on you. You usually cause trouble with the humans"

right.. humans with me in my past was a bad idea. It's diffrent now. That girl changed me. I feel.. calm around her.

"I have to go. My friend is missing her cat"

I tried walking but Claw stopped me.

"Her? Never told me you had a friend that's a girl. Tell me more." He said.

I growled and jumped over him and landed.

"Maybe later".

After excaping Claw, I headed back to the house with her cat in my arms. Once I got in I saw Rin fast asleep in a ball. I smiled and placed Snowdrop in front of her. Snowdrop got up.

"Good you got away.. deary find your.. family" she said before she collapsed.

Rin opened her eyes.

"I will Snowdrop."

Snowdrop disappeared and Rin's eyes glowed. Then I could hear Snowdrops voice.

"I will guild you when an enemy is near, Rin. Ask for me and I shall appear. For now, I'm inside you".

She nodded. What's going on?

"Rin what did she mean find your family?" I asked.

"My father is dead. And my mother and brother were kidnapped. I want to find them. And I will proudly lay my life down to save them"

I smiled at her speech. I like her determination.

"I'll help"

she smiled at me.
