The Tip of a Pen

We try to catch the world

With the tip of a pen,

But there is unfathomably more

Than we can comprehend,

Much less express.

Like that feeling

When your day is made,

Feeling all warm and fuzzy

and the emotion won't fade,

Nor will your smile.

Or how beautiful the air is

As the autumn leaves drift

Along the twinkling breeze,

The sunlight dipped

In golden honey.

I dare you to capture

How it feels to kiss a crush

Or what it's like playing basket ball

In the last two minute rush

With your adrenaline pumping.

You can foolishly try

To explain how it feels

When you watch you friends levae

Or what it's like to deal

With watching death bite.

To each their own,

And their moments of awe,

Whether good or bad,

Of the things they say

Are indescirbable.

So my advice to you is not

To attempt catching life,

You cannot,

But rather to try

And not let it pass by,

Watch it and follow it

Wherever it leads.

Feel its breath on your lips,

Veiw it's beauty in you eyes,

And experience it.
