Marinette carefully walked into the courtyard. She didn't want Chat to find her. She didn't want to lie to him.

"Marinette!" Adrien called.

Marinette bit her lip and continued walking, past Alya, past everyone. Only talking to Nathaniel.

"Maybe this was a bad idea. I'm ignoring all my friends," Marinette whispered.

"I can talk to them for you. So they're not mad at you,"Nathaniel reassured her.

Marinette smiled and hugged the red head, pecking him on the cheek.

"Hey Marinette. Can I talk to you?" Adrien asked.

Marinette sighed and nodded, following him to an empty classroom.

"Why are you staying with him? Is he blackmailing you? Are you in danger?" He bombarded her with questions.

"No."

"Marinette, tell me. I've been your friend longer than him. Why won't you tell me?"

"He found out accidentally. I'm not telling anyone else."

"What about Chat?"

"How do you-"

"He's worried sick about you! Why are you just leaving him in the dark!?"

"Because it's none of his business! And it's none of yours!"

"Mari-"

"No Adrien. It's my turn to ask questions. How do you know I'm dating Chat?"

"Your mom told. And he told me."

"He told you?"

"Yeah. We're best friends."

".... I have to go. See you later ... or not." Marinette walked to class, sitting next to Alya.

Alya kept asking her questions but Marinette simply brushed them off.

Why did Chat tell Adrien? He promised he wouldn't tell anyone ...
