Clumsy(Humphrey Goodman X reader)Death in Paradise

Im sorry if  he's OOC, I don't watch Death in Paradise.
Today Humphrey decided to take you on a ride in his boat. Your a little nervous because you've never been on a boat before.

"Hey Humphrey what if I fall off?" You ask worriedly.

Humphrey looks at you and smiles. "You're going to be fine."

"Yeah maybe."

As you continue to walk to his boat, you get more and more nervous.

'What would happen if you do fall off? Would Humphrey help you?'

As these questions filled your mind, you didn't realize that you were at his boat already.

"(Y/n) we're here." Humphrey puts his hand in your shoulder.

You shake out of your thoughts. "Oh."

"Don't worry." Humphrey tries to reinsure you. "You're going to be fine."

You nod, agreeing you'll be fine. "Okay."

He gets in and looks up at you. "Come on." He holds his hand out to you.

You take it. Once you were in, you immediately sat down.

Your breathing quickens as Humphrey rows. "How far are we going?"

"Not far."

----------------time skip----------------

It's now been 2 hours and you've relaxed, a little.

"Are we done yet?" You ask.

"No." Is all he says.

You decided to sit by Humphrey to calm your nerves. You get up and with your luck you trip.

Not just any trip, a trip that made you fall into the water.

As you fall you think, 'This is it, this is how I die.'

Just as you hit the water, Humphrey quickly stands up. He doesn't hesitate to jump in.

When he does, he quickly finds you. He wraps his arm around your waist and swims toward his boat.

As he does this, you do nothing but move around.  

Humphrey finally gets you back onto the boat. When you get to the boat ground you relax.

"That was quite a swim huh?"

You glare at him. "No it wasn't. It scared me."

Humphrey grabs a blanket and wraps it around you. "At least you didn't die."

'That's right, I didn't die.' You thought before you fell asleep.
