Ashley had a boyfriend who would verbally abuse her, he cheated on her. Yet she felt like his acceptance was what mattered most. So she changed herself for him, but no matter how muched she changed he never accepted her. She was hurt and wondered why she wasn't good enough for him, but the rejection was a good thing. God was protecting her from a future marriage that would be sad, abusive and it would end in divorce.
After they broke up she focused on her relationship with God, and she got to the point where she was okay with it just being her and God. He sent a amazing man who loves her and treats her like the princess she is. Now they are married and very happy.This story tells us the only acceptance you need is God's. He loves you and will do anything for you. Those people who rejected you, it could be God protecting you from something that could hurt you or from you doing things that is wrong and against God's will.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says:
" No temptation has overtaken you execpt what is common to mankind. And God is faithful He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide away out so that you can endure it".
