The Zodiac Chronicles : Aquarius

Chapter 11

Aquarius wakes up to the sound of a large paw scratching the wood outside. Aquarius sits up uncertain of what it might be.  She crawls over to Airies who seemed to be sleeping, "Airies, wake up there's somthing outside." A humping occurs on the roof of the cave as if the creature was trying to get in causing dirt to shine down onto the two. Airies sits up, "huh. what was that?" Aquarius smiles reassuringly , "thats what I'm going to find out." Aquarius grabs the ledge to crawls out, to see a large grey cat with wings jumping up and down. The cat she recognized looked similar to a grey tiger with raven wings, "Crowlere?" He sits down and meows with his head cocked sideways. Aquarius crawls out of her hole careful not to attract attention, "Crowlere how did you grow so big?" Crowlere rubs his big body around Aquarius not used to being so big. Aquarius laughs and gets knocked into the sand, "Airies, it's just my griffin." Airies climbs out of the hole to see Aquarius already knocked over.
"Stop, in the name of the queen!" Aquarius stands up pushing Crowlere aside, "time to go!" She sees Leo, Scorpio and the twin brother Gemeni, "Airies, Airies, Airies how did I know that you'd get involved with his murderer?" Airies stands protectively infront of Aquarius startling her, "She is no murderer!" Crowlere growls at Scorpio, Leo and Gemeni. "You know for being a twin I thought you'd hang out with your sister more." Aquarius spats, Gemeni crosses his arms, "yeah well, she like to hang out with bad influences like you." Did he say she like to hang out with people like me? She must be looking for me. "Good to hear." Aquarius says sarcastically. "Airies we need to leave" she whispers to him. Airies nods his head slightly. "Well you can pretend you never saw us, children because we're leaving." Aquarius could tell that stung the three idiots. "So we'll best be on our ways now." Airies turns around to usher Aquarius to the forest. Crowlere lashes his tail as he growls, "Crowlere, lets go." Aquarius says sternly. "You really think your getting away that easily?" Aquarius stops and turns around with a sly smile,  "look you really don't want to fight us, I having superior battle strategies, and Airies being the only one to master his set of skills at our age, not a wise decision."  Leo stomps his foot, "I do not care you both are coming with us!" Aquarius puts her hands to her sides ready to throw up some defensive plants, "No thanks." The sand begins to move beneath their feet almost making them trip. Scorpio makes two massive scorpions "get them!" the scorpion's claws click aingrily. Gemeni begins throwing rocks, Aquarius throws up a hand to block the stones from hitting them. Airies creates a cloudy vortex around the Scorpions causing them to dissapate, Leo transforms into a lion and begins to charge at the two,  Crowlere roars and jumps at Leo ferociously attacking him. Gemeni suddenly creates a large stone wall between the battle, "Hey!" Aquarius hears Gemeni yell, "psst, over here!" Crowlere jumps over the wall and flies into the woods. Aquarius heard a girls voice calling from inside the woods, "it's me Gem." Airies and Aquarius dive into the woods, Gem appears from thecwoods wearing green chlothing, "Move now!" Gem sees chunks fly over the wall, "Thanks, Gem." Aquarius runs away from the fight with Aires as he creates a thick cloud cover to cover their tracks. The three stop, "glad to see you're okay. Gem being the twin that Aquarius used to hang out with as a kid but when it came to their duries the two rarely saw eachother again. Aquarius hugs Gem, "I missed you!" They split from their hug.

Aquarius looks back to see if it was safe enough to sit down. She looks at Airies and Gem,"We need to go to the outer reigons of Atlantis." Airies shakes his head, "no too dangerous." Gem puts a hand on Aquarius's shoulder, "Aquarius, people don't come back from that region, we're lucky enough to survive in the dark forest let alone the outer regions." Aquarius crosses her arms, "look I am going with or without you two you cannot stop me." Gemeni smiles, "fine, I'll come. We would always get into crazy stuff together anyway." Aquarius punches Gemeni's arm and laughs. Airies clears some of the clouds away, "alright, we will have to prepare ourselves though." Aquarius spins her staff in her fingers slowly and glances down at her dirty and torn dress with her light blue flatts, "you two will have to get the food I cannot go to the city due to my aleged crime.If you can can you grab my armor it would be really helpful, it's in the castle armory in the locker with my full name on it second row, first one on the left. You both should grab your armor as well if you have any. " Airies and Gemeni look at eachother then back at Aquarius, "are you shure?" I'll wait here in the forest with my giant Crowlere." Airies and Gemeni look at Aquarius with worried faces, "don't worry I can handle myself just fine out here." Her stomach growls from not eating anything all day. "Go, I'll be fine." She reassurs her friends.
