My plane touches down in LA and as soon as I'm out of the airport I look out at the city that I'll never forget.
For a moment I think about Rosetta and Ronald, and how they're doing now-a-days. Of course I wouldn't go see them again because they don't need that type of medaling in their lives. But, I hope they're doing good. They really were incredibly nice people.
Bridgett and her husband arranged rides from the airport to the five star hotels they set us up in. And as soon as I see the chauffeur holding my name I get inside the car.
This hotel isn't the Swan and Dolphin, but it's just as beautiful and grand. The inside has high ceilings and glossy floors. It's magnificent.
I get into my room and lock the door. With all the things that are put in here you'd think I'd be staying an entire month rather than just two days. But either way, it's a lovely place to be staying.
My phone buzzes and I look down at it.
You land yet:) ~ Cassie
I quickly type back an answer, and then finished unpacking my clothes.
Just got to my room. Where are you?
With someone I want you to meet. ~ Cassie.
A boyfriend? I grin.
If this weekend goes well. ~ Cassie
I think it's great that Cassie found someone to bring to the wedding. I, on the otherhand, hadn't met anyone I genuinely liked in months - and even then we only went on a few dates before we called it off.
Cassie is my only friend that has flown in so far, so I meet her and her mystery man downstairs for a few drink at the bar.
She tells me he's a doctor she just happened to have pulled over a few months earlier, and they had kept in touch ever since.
"Like a fairytale." I tease her lightly, using the plastic toothpick in my empty glass to move around the ice and cherry.
As they giggle and flirt to the side of me, facing each other, I look down at my drink. I really don't mind their PDA. I'm happy that Cassie's happy.
Since it's early, this bar has hardly anyone in it. Matter a fact, besides me Cassie and her friend, there's no one here besides the bartender and a woman on her phone in the corner booth. And even she only has a glass of lemon water.
I look down and keep playing with the straw in my drink, not paying much mind to anything else.
"Yes, I know there's a lot of options." A voice says from behind me. "But I just don't know where to start."
He takes a seat a few stools away from me and gives me a polite smile, before talking on the phone once more.
"I don't know the area that well, so I guess I'll just ask around." He sighs, ending the call.
A few moments later he gets my attention.
"Excuse me, Miss." He says kindly.
I look over at him, "Yes?"
He looks like he's in his late thirties to early forties, and something tells me he's a Father by the ways he dresses.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but my wife and I are planning on moving to the city but we don't know where to even start looking for a house. Do you know anyone?"
"I'm sorry, I'm not from LA. I wouldn't be much help." I say politely.
"You don't know the names of any good realtors?" He asks.
