I knotted my eyebrows together, furious. Before I could reply, a voice responded.

"Who are you to say something?" The man across me responded. To think of it.. I have never actually asked for his name. I observed their faces while my mind just zoned out. Why is he standing up for me when we just met?

Does this mean something? The "perky" waitress marched off with our order. I wasn't sure what he said, but judging by her being flushed and angry, I knew it wasn't pretty. I decided to spark up a conversation with this stranger. "I hope she doesn't spit in our drinks." I raised my eyebrows and giggled. Receiving a small smile in response from him, I needed to know his name. "By the way, my name is Sung Kyung. Lee Sung Kyung. I don't think I got your name." Before I got his name, another waiter came back with our two beverages and placed them on the smooth, wood table in front of us. "Yoongi. Min Yoongi." Little did I know I would soon dread that name ringing in my ears.

...

After our small lunch I felt more comfortable with Yoongi. I really am not a social person but I felt very open with him. We were back at our gate number. We still have three more hours until our plane arrives.

Turns out Yoongi and I actually are both moving to Seoul and will be staying close to each other. It's kind of strange that I already have someone to talk to when I start my new beginning. By doing so, I can have a better start. "I am going to get a coffee. "Do you want anything?" He asked. Gosh, does this man drink a lot of coffee.

"Yes. I would love some green tea actually." I replied standing up from the uncomfortable waiting chairs. "No. No. Don't worry. I'll go get it. Just stay here and watch the bags." Once again that reassuring smile flashed.

Flight 11 gate 93 will be boarding now.

Please have your ticket and your passport in hand.

"Hey what seat number do you have? I have a seat window. I hate it." He said nudging me, looking annoyed at his ticket. "Um I have seat number 18 B. What do you have?" I asked looking at his crumpled paper. "Really? Want to switch? I have 18 A." What the.. is this fate or something??

...

After we took our seats, a heavy wave of awkwardness fell upon us. I decided to look out the window. Maybe this will be my last time in this small town. Maybe this will get rid of all my doubts and problems. Maybe, just maybe I can finally have a New Beginning.
