Maybe heading towards Jungkook's doctor's office at midnight wasn't exactly a good idea after all. Taehyung thought.

"Mr Kim?" A voice from behind Taehyung said and Taehyung turned around to see Dr. Lee looking at him. "What are you doing here?"

"Can I talk to you?" Taehyung asked nervously. "Sure, Mr Kim. Follow me to the office." Dr. Lee smiled and Taehyung tried to smile back but it turned out to be more like a grimace.

Once they were in the office, Dr. Lee sat down and signaled Taehyung to do the same. "So? Mr Kim, what did you want to talk to me about?" Dr. Lee said gently.

"I-i..." Taehyung stuttered. "Take a deep breath, Mr Kim." Dr. Lee smiled. Taehyung nodded and did as told and released after a few seconds. "Now, continue."

"I've made a choice." Taehyung said, more firm now. "A choice?" Dr. Lee asked. Taehyung nodded, "I want to do the eye surgery for Mr Jeon." Taehyung elaborated.

"Mr Kim! You do know that it's very dangerous to do so... Yet you still want to do it. Do you love him that much, Mr Kim?" Dr. Lee asked, his heart feeling really soft and wanting to melt.

"Yeah... I love him so much... I would even die for him. He's the only reason why I'm smiling. Without him... This world has nothing worth me to live for." Taehyung muttered sadly.

"But he won't die... He'll be alive but he just won't see... you know?" Dr. Lee tried to convince Taehyung. "Hey... The surgery has a chance that I'll live, right? So therefore, we shouldn't feel down... Yet." Taehyung smiled.

Dr. Lee tried to stop himself from crying. "You know, Mr Kim? Me and my husband... We went through similar situations and it breaks my heart that it might be replaying again."

"Then... Stop it from replaying... Change something... It's ok... Change the main character from me to someone else." Taehyung said, tears gathering in his eyes.

"Make Mr Jeon be with someone else and this story will have a happy ending. It won't be as heartbreaking anymore... Right?" Taehyung questioned uncertainly.

"That... Mr Kim, you're wrong. Because you'll still be in the story. And considering that you made such a decision, you'll be remembered." Dr. Lee said softly.

"Dr. Lee, we're going off topic here." Taehyung chuckled nervously. "Mr Kim... Are you sure you want to do this?" Dr. Lee questioned.

Taehyung nodded. "I'm more than determined." Dr. Lee sighed, "Did you inform anyone about the decision made?"

Taehyung shook his head hesitantly. "No..." He muttered. Dr. Lee looked at him pitifully, "Do you want to?" Taehyung shook his head again. "Please don't tell anyone... Please..." Taehyung begged.

"I just hope this is what you want..." Dr. Lee muttered sadly. He went through his drawers for a certain form and a pen before passing them to Taehyung.

"Sign this..." Dr. Lee mumbled. Taehyung uncapped the pen and took a large breath before looking through the document and signing it. "Come back tomorrow and we'll discuss further." Dr. Lee sighed.

Taehyung nodded and exited the room. Leaning his back against the office door, he finally let his kept tears fall. "I love you, Jungkook... So much..." Taehyung muttered.

-The Next Day-

Taehyung's phone rang and he groaned as he sat up in the hospital chair and wincing when he knew his back was sore, again. Nonetheless, he picked up the call.

"Hello?" Taehyung asked. "Tae, I won't be able to make it to the hospital today and tomorrow... I'm sorry." Jimin apologised.

"That's fine, hyung." Taehyung said. "Are you sure?" Jimin asked. "Yeah... I'll see you soon, then?" Taehyung smiled.

"Yeah... I'll see you soon, Tae. Hang in there." Jimin said.

But little did he know, he won't be seeing Taehyung anytime soon.
