Reunion #2

No! This can't be happening! I can't let him die! I can't let Dan lose both of his parents.

"Five more minutes mommy." He rolled onto his side. Thank the heavens he's alive.

"Dad if you don't wake up in five minute so help me god I will let the zombies get you." That woke him straight up. He got out of bed he only has his boxers on. Eww! I'm not gonna lie he has great abs. Geez Shyla he's like twice your age!

We leave him to do his "business" and we head downstairs to have something to eat. We sit at the island that was in the middle of the kitchen. Dan grabs two bowls and spoons. He poured me some Cheerios. Yummy Cheerios are my favourite. He poured himself too and sits down. We interlock hands and I give him a light kiss and he smiles and kisses me back. I didn't realize how hungry I was until now if felt good to have some actual food in my body not just beans. Then his Dad joins us.

---Time lapse to the lab because I canXD---

We enter the lab and Dan's dad looks amused. I didn't picture him as a scientist at all.

*thud* Shit I just knocked someone over. I guess I wasn't paying attention. It was a girl who looked about my age she looked confused. She has straight black hair and the dark eyes to match. She was thin and a good few inches taller than me. Wait I know who this is! Dan mouthed to me that he would meet me in my dad's office and I agreed. Then he rushed off with his dad.

"Ashley?" She looked at me bewildered.

"Shyla!" She quickly got up on her feet and gave me a hug. "I thought you were dead! It's so nice to see you!"

We've been best friends every since grade two. I can't believe I forgot about her until now. Some best friend I am.

*Flashback to grade two*

I was sitting at a table alone. I just moved to that school so I didn't have many friends, actually I didn't have any. It was lunch time so I was eating my sandwich alone. That's when Ashley came to save the day. "Hello my name is Ashley! You must be the new girl!" I still remember it like it was yesterday. Her voice was high pitched.

I introduced myself and she held out her hand in a fist. When I gave her a confused look she took my hand and hit it against her. "It's called pounding it." She said. Then she sat beside me and every since then we've been best friends.

*Flashback over*

"So do you have a boyfriend?" She giggled as soon as she asked the question. I could feel my face flush with colour. She always got the boys even though she basically had the same style as me and the same personality. That's one of factors of us becoming best friends.

"As a matter of fact I do. Come on I'll introduce you." I nudge her with my elbow and we head off to my dad's office.
