He leads us to a part of the hospital/lab where it's closed off by a curtain. This must be the part of the building where the take zombies to do tests on them. Dan, Ashley and I enter the closed off space. Dan's dad places my mom down on a hospital bed and closes the curtain so we're cut off from the rest of the people. He motions for me to lay down on an identical bed as my mothers so I do.

He goes to a cupboard and takes out with a needle. "What are you doing?" He better not be giving me a needle. I really, really hate needles .

"I'm going to take some blood." my heart starts racing taking blood is even worse that just a normal needle. I look over at Ashley and she looks just as worried as I am. When I was in grade eight I had to get needles. They sat you down in a chair in our schools lounge. Then they had nurses give you a needle, I don't even remember what's it was for. Anyways after getting the needle I had to walk back to my class Ashley was in the hall on the way to get her needle. I stopped to talk to her and my vision started to go blurry, I passed out in her arms. I woke up in a couch in the teachers lounge with a nurse sitting across from me. She told me I was fine I just have to take the rest of my needles laying down. (Yes we had to have more than one) Now you know why I hate needles.

Dan is standing right beside me so I grab his hand and squeeze as hard as I can. He winces but doesn't say a word.

Then there's a pinch in my shoulder and I start to go lightheaded I fight the urge to pass out and it work. I look at the needle that's filled with my blood, big mistake. I gag.

He goes into the cupboard again and takes out a jar with a brain in it. That I can deal with. "Are you attracted to this?" What the hell? Am I attracted to a brain in a jar?

"No, do you think I'm a zombie or something?" He put the jar back into the cupboard.

"The thing is you might be," those words linger in my head. He's right! If the "cure" didn't work in my mom I could turn into a brainless, flesh eating freak at any moment. "You can leave now don't forget to move you arm it help with the pain from the needle."

"I'm going to stay here and talk to my dad. " Dan says. That's when I realize I'm still squeezing his hand. I let go and leave the curtains, rolling my shoulder to keep it moving like Dan's dad suggested. I go to the willow tree and sit on the bench. This has been my thinking spot since this whole thing started.

I'm to busy drowning in my own thoughts to notice that Ashley sat down beside me. "It's going to be ok. Trust me. I know you, you're a fighter. You can get through this." Her voice is reassuring but I can't help but think she's wrong.

Hey guys!:)

You know what to do!:)

Until next time!
