(Mark's POV)

I'm surprised that she knows how to dance since I haven't seen her dance. She's a natural at this. Now, it made me wonder what else I don't know about her. She has this mysterious air to her that even I can't tell what she's thinking or what she knows.

Here we are dancing like as if we are the only ones dancing. Somehow being with her felt nice. There is no worries or nothing that feels uncomfortable. It's like as if being with her is natural and meant to be. Regardless of this moment, I was happy that I'm not letting nothing ruin this moment.

I glanced down at her and she was just as happy to be dancing with me. She was finally giving out a soft smile I haven't seen since before everything changed. That doesn't mean she never smiles. She smiles but it's like a forced smile or a smile that didn't mean anything.

Right now, she was giving me a real smile. This made my heart skip a beat and I had no idea why it would do that just by looking at her smile. Also, her smile that made me smile is happiness.

We were so lost in our little world that we didn't hear people talking about us until the music ended.

We stopped for a moment and finally heard the people. I could see that she blushed as we listened. It was pretty funny to see her blushing like that. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Shut up, Mark." She pushed me a bit as if she was mad at me.

"What...It's funny to see you flustered like this."

"Hey...It's not my fault when we can clearly hear what they are saying...Like really, we are dancing and they think we are together...Don't they know we are just best friends." The last part made me think that she's right but why I felt a little sting in my chest.

"True...But don't mind them...They are jealous that they couldn't get some of this." I smirked at her and she gave me a glare.

"Right...I forgot you're popular with the girls. I can feel their envious glares digging holes on me. Thanks a lot, Bestie..." She walks away from the dance floor while I glanced around to see that she was right. I didn't like the looks that the ladies are giving at Lilia as she walked away. It's not her fault she danced with me. I was the one who dragged her so I could avoid Cynthia.

Therefore, I should be the one getting the glares. I ignored the ladies and made my way to her so I could make it up. She wasn't far from me that it didn't take long for me to be by her side.

"Hey...You know it's not really my fault." She let out a sigh and turned around to look at me.

"I know...Oh, by the way, where's your girlfriend?...I thought you said you were bring her." I forgot to tell her that I'm here by myself.

"Oh about that, I didn't bring her...." I paused a bit and I knew she caught wind of what I'm hinting by the look she had.

"Really?...I'm sorry to hear that, Mark. Are you okay?" I shrugged my shoulders. I really didn't know what to say about this nor did I want to discuss this here.

"I'm doing okay for now."

"You want to talk about it somewhere else?" I arched my brow.

"Where do you have in mind to go?" She smirked at me as she moved closer to me. I couldn't help but look at her lips.

"My hiding place I found a few days ago...I doubt they are going to notice we are gone...Come with me." She grabbed my hand and pulled me through the crowd.

I just let her be as I followed through the hallways and through doors until we were outside. She took me to the garden. It was pretty and all but why here?
