The hospital released Jason back to his normal life after 3 weeks of recovery. Max has disappeared and his location is unknown. Jason learns that he must kill and eat humans to survive.

[JASON'S POV]

I laid on my couch watching television. I was still confused on why all the food I eat tasted terrible. I decided to get up and go to the fridge. I got out a carton of milk and poured myself a glass, chugging it after I put the milk away. I burp before running to the toilet, vomiting. I hear a knock on the door and peek through the peephole, it is the shadow I saw in the alley. I throw open the door. "I am so thankful for you! Thank you, thank you thank you!" I bow to him before he says, "Yeah, I have been watching you. Akane has been trying to eat you forever." I let him in and explain to him that he cannot eat nor drink. "The name is Ishiro, and your eating issue is simple." He starts laughing at me. I don't understand why he was laughing, I just laughed along anyways. I stopped laughing and started piecing the pieces together. "W-wait..." I now had a terrible look of fear on my face. "You just now realized you are a ghoul?" I quickly jumped up and grabbed a banana, eating it as fast as I can, scurrying to the bathroom after taking a bite to vomit. Ishiro laughs and says,"Human flesh not bananas!"

[ISHIRO'S POV]

The phone book said that this was where he lived. I had to check up on the guy, he could have killed himself for all I know. I sighed and knocked on the door. I was thinking about the legendary Ken Kaneki from long ago. Jason really reminded me of him. I step into his apartment and sat down, there was vomit all over the floors and half eaten food beside it. This confirmed that he was, in fact, a ghoul. I think he realized he was with that look of horror on his face. He then proceeded to eat human food and vomit it all up. I had to tell him that human flesh is the only way and that human food can, in fact, kill you.
