Sky's Pov
I waste my time away as the once exciting and new home turned into to nothing but the same old pale, dark home. Mother had gone shopping with my Aunt Amberline While Father went to a meeting that was bound to become a business trip of some sort.
I start to drift to the doors that never open, The gates always closed. For once I just wanted the light to caress my face with the warm and heat that only the sun can bring. Just this once allow my purple amulet to gleam in the light of a risen sun. Why could no one see the deep unhappiness that only my isolation could bring me?
Being cut off from the people around makes this "home" foreign to me. I do not know the people around for they all have empty, solemn eyes. Eyes that conveyed tales of immense heartbreak, sufferage and most of all, pain. Pain that ran through the blood of their fallen, only to run through their successors, however lucky they may be.
Some say only many centries of such suppression of emotions could cause such a look in someone's eyes. Others say it is the pain and exasperation of losing love, happiness and joy. Either way, it is a look I may develop. My parents,They have no pain. Their souls have been consumed by the greed and the lust of this world, trapped in webs of lies fed to them by society. Sometimes I try to sympathize with them, trying to understand what brought them here but then I remember who I am, what my last name is, and what our family is supposed to stand for. They cannot care enough to protect our legacy.
They do as they please, without care. Their lies hide their devilish deeds and tales, Lies that I to had believed along with everyone else. Now I can see past their Bullshit. Had it been clearer I would've realized it when I was younger and full of life, just at the turning point from toddler to child. When I was just 7 years old.
* Flashback*
Sky is 7 and asks if he may go outside. Skys father is around and orders the servant to leave. Sky is confused.
"Father, why can't I see the outside? It looked so pretty from my window. I know there are horrible monsters, I read a book about each one and what to do if I ever came across one."
"The dangers of the outside are more than a book can tell. You may not see it now but in the future, You will thank me. When your freedom is granted you will see how waiting and studying the world from your window has helped."
"But Father-"
"Is my dearest son questioning me? I thought better of you Adam."
"No father I just-"
"Go! I must do some work now child."
"Yes Father."
*End*
The evil intentions I should have seen. I saw him sign my life away, just yesterday. Their meetings aren't as "private" or "confidential" as they'd like it to be. I wish I could drag my self to their level, but my dignity just won't hold. I am a Dalhberg after all, I need to be the successor that builds this family up. But all I need now is freedom, sweet, liberal, freedom. Now it is my time for sleep, the night has set.
Tys Pov *from the beginning of the day*
The drunken yells of my birth-givers pull me from my sleep, even though I wish they hadn't. Pulling the scratchy pillow over my face, I tried to muffle out the sounds of the overbearingly loud music, blasted in their room. My attempt to muffle out the sounds proved useless, and I slowly knelt out of the mattress and blanket that I slept with. The purple almost black bruises send stinging pains up my legs, stopping me in my crawling form. I made a small grunt of pain, only loud enough to be heard in my room. Pain starts to seep through me as I notice all the lacerations that marked my skin. My form wasn't the prettiest, I'll admit that.
I eventually made to the basket that held my little amount of clothing. Slipping them on carefully, I wrap my cuts with bandages I had taken from the birth-givers bathroom. They never used them, so why let something beautiful go to waste? Covering the bruises to the best of my ability I limp to the bus stop, just in time to catch my breath for a few seconds.
Everyone looks at me strangely, as if I didn't belong. I sighed and sat in my usual seat, 3 rows from the front, 3 throws from the back in the far left by the window. No one objects, but no one sits beside me as far as I know. We passed through the rich neighborhood, as soon as the Dahlberg's stepped out of their home. They waved nicely at us before continuing on their path.
I saw a shadow in the window, the loom of a boy, standing amongst his curtains peeking out as if he was terrified. I tried to wave, but we were gone in an instance passing the houses.
The set up of the house were strange, they were almost parallel to the Oche Point Mountain, evem though that had been outruled long ago, in fear of a rebellion. If I mapped the lands accordingly, it would lead me to freedom! Now a plan to figure out the lands it all I need.
Make me new
tie the hands of all my pain
Allow them to see me be free
Be free
Before I knew it school had been over. The day had been a blur of punches and kicks.
Time to go to "Home".Yay. I knew I would get it worst tonight. Drunk+ Parents+Headaches = Bad beating.
My parents weren't home suprisingly. I took this as my chance to escape. I had my bag packed already. I knew a place to hide. I had this place mapped out. That's when my parents decided to show up. I hid all my thing as quick as light. I knew they would head straight for my door.
"FAG!" My "Dad" yelled. He threw his beer bottle at my head.
My mom walks in with their bats and hands him his bat. She throw the first swing at my legs as I fall to the ground.
BAM!
"You-
BAM!
"STUPID-
BAM!
"FAGGOT
BAM!
WASTE!"
As they finsh hitting me I know in my heart and my mind that I had to escape. NOW.
I slowly crawl to my bed and hope for a better day.
*Next day*
Ty's Pov
I slowly wake up. My body ached and my pillow was wet from the tears I shed in my sleep. Today was the day I was leaving. My parents had gone on a 6 hour cruise today and wouldn't be back till late. I grab my packed bag. a little bit of money and climbed out of my window dropping down and started running. I would Have to sleep on the Dahlberg's land at night but that was it. I ran for most of the day until I reach the the Dahlberg's. I slowly trudge across the land until I find a clear land to sleep on,
Until I hear a yell of "Wait!".Shit.
Sky's Pov
I yelled "Wait!" to the strange figure moving across the backyard. They looked nothing like the monsters I read about in my book.
The Dark figure turned around, they're amber eyes glimmered with fear and suspicion as they looked up.
"Who are you?" I yelled. they looked at me weirdly but answered anyway.
"Ty Collins. I'm nothing like my parents, I promise. Who are you? " So they had those annoying parents who were way to happy. they didn't seem like a threat so I put my guard down.
"Adam Dahlberg. I'm nothing like my parents either so I guess your okay . What are you doing here?"
"Just passing through. I'll be gone before morning though."
Ty turned to walk away but I didn't want him to leave.
"Wait!" I yelled again. He turned around again.
"Can I come with you?"
