I woke up at 7:30 a.m. to a banging on my bedroom door. Yep, it was Chloe. She was the only one who actually knocked. She opened my door and said, "Haley, you need to be ready!" I thought and said, "It's 7:30. How can I possibly be late?" She stared at me in confusion. "Because, we need to go get coffee and breakfast, duh!" How could I forget? Of course Chloe wanted to take me out for coffee. She was a coffeeholic, and she always urged me to go with her to go get coffee. That resulted into me being a coffeeholic too.

I answered, "I'll be ready in five minutes." I heard her mutter something that sounded like, "You better hurry." I shooed her out and pulled on my favorite low-rise jeans and button up t-shirt. I had already laid my clothes the night before so I could be ready. I slipped on my sneakers and grabbed my coach wristlet and went downstairs.

"Bye mom." I said, before she could ask me where I was going.

"Have fun at the coffee shop with Chloe, and be back by 9:15, sharp!"

I glanced at Chloe and replied, "Okay mom, thanks!"

I got in Chloe's car and quickly connected my bluetooth. If anyone knew me at all, then they would know that I love music, rock to be specific. Chloe was right behind me and said, "You beat me to the bluetooth, but I guess I should let you have it since it's your last day."

We jammed to Blink-182 the whole way to the coffee shop. Once, Chloe and I snuck into a Blink-182 concert, and it was Chloe's idea. She only did it because she knew how much I loved them.

We finally reached the coffee shop. "Oh, crap!" Chloe said loudly.

"What happened?" I said, worried.

"I forgot my cash," She said.

"You can use mine. Come on," I said, wanting to go inside because I was hungry.

"No, I'll be back in five minutes. Go get your food and don't wait," Chloe said, noticing my annoyance.

"Fine," I said, watching her car pull out of the coffee shop parking lot. I was walking to the door and I ran into an old guy, about sixty-five.

"I am so sorry! I was looking at the ground!" I said, almost immediately, taking in what happened.

"Yeah, just pay attention next time. We don't want you getting hurt, now do we?" He said, seriously creeping me out. I went inside and reserved us a table. Not even five minutes later after the incident with the old man, Chloe came in with her cash.

"Hey girl! Sorry I took so long!" She said, and I didn't care that much.

She noticed almost immediately that I was feeling weird. I promise you that she has some sort of radar senses that can tell when I am upset. "What happened?" She said.

"I ran into some guy and he said something weird. It's no big deal though. So lets eat, okay?" I said, trying to change the subject.

We ate and drank our breakfast and coffee. After that we just talked.

"Are you excited for the move?" She asked, quite persistent.

"No, not really. It's probably going to be really shabby and have no cell service." I replied.

She looked at me and started laughing, for no reason. Classic Chloe, I thought. She was always laughing. Her laugh was contagious, so before I knew it, I was laughing too.

"Okay?" I said still having aftershocks of laughs.

She smiled at me and looked at her watch. "It's 8:43."

Just then, I received a text: "Change of plans. I'm picking you up in 5 minutes, so say goodbye now."

My face went pale for a second. "My mom is picking me up."

I saw the tears in Chloe's eyes fall off the rims of her eyelids and down her cheek. I gave her a hug and my tears were on her shirt. "I'm so sorry. Remember me and text me every day, okay?" She said, crying heavily.

"Okay." I said, short and sweet, seeing my mom pull in the parking lot.

I hugged her on last time and waved goodbye. Little did I know that that was the last time I would see my best friend again.
