I got on Messages and immediately texted Chloe: "Hey girl! I just got settled in and it's not that bad here! Come visit this week if you want! I'm nervous for school to start but I think I'll be okay! Anyways, GTG! Bye! ~Haley"

I was thinking that she would respond immediately but she didn't. "Oh well," I thought.

Fifteen minutes later, I felt my phone vibrate. I look at it and it was a message form Chloe and it said: "That's wonderful! I can't come this weekend or the next, but in two weeks I can! I want you to tell me the deers when you get home from school tomorrow! I GTG! Bye! ~Chloe ;)

I felt a bit better after reading that. I was nervous for school the next day, so I decided to read. It always took my mind off of things. I went to my bookshelf and took off a dusty (yes, it was dusty, even when I packed them the day before.) copy of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I loved that book, but I hand't read it in years.

I read every last page of it when I noticed the time: 11:23 p.m. I was going to be late for school, and such things couldn't happen when it was going to be my first day. I set the book down and turned off my lamp. My thoughts were racing: What if no one likes me? What if I die? What if I fall down a flight of stairs? Etc. I didn't know the answer to any of those. Before I knew it my eyes fell very heavy and I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Hey loves! Again, sorry for the super short chapter! I hate putting short chapters! I do promise to put longer chapters, because there are lots of events still waiting to occur. If you feel like it, you guys can vote and comment. Anyways, hope you enjoyed, even though it was short. Shout out to megan_gymnasts and her story The Lighthouse. Hope you like it! Happy reading loves!
