*Emmie*

I just put Saphire in bed and was sitting on the couch, waiting for Michael to get back. I got slightly hungry so I went into the kitchen. I started fixing me something when I heard the front door open and shut.

"Hi Michael. What happened?" I yelled, putting my sandwich together. I heard footsteps behind me. "Michael?" I asked turning around. My eyes widened and I dropped my sandwich and opened my mouth ready to scream but the guy grabbed me and clamped his hand over my mouth.

My screams were muffled and I tried to get free, but he had slammed me against the wall. I looked through the kitchen door and saw someone else going straight upstairs towards Saphire's room.

"NOOOO!!" I screamed, but it was muffled.

"Shut up or I won't hesitate to kill your daughter." The man growled. I shut up, shaking. Tears were rolling down my cheeks when I heard Saph scream. I tried even harder to get out of his arms. I managed to kick him in his groin and he let me go. I ran upstairs and saw the man shaking Saph. I pushed him over her and grabbed her, and ran. I ran as fast as I could. I almost got out the door but one of the men grabbed me, and sliced my arm, blood pouring out.

I still held Saphire close, not saying a thing. It hurt, but I didn't want her hurt. I'd get hurt for her any day. They shoved me out of the house and into a van. I held Saphire close, trying to keep her from crying. I was so scared... I wish Michael was here.

*Michael*

I got home and the door was open. She never left the door open unless she was outside... I slowly went inside and saw some blood on the floor. The pace of my heart quickened and I immediately went up to Saphire's room to see things thrown all over the place and her crib tipped over. I went to Emmie's room and saw nothing wrong, and the same with the other rooms. I went into the kitchen and saw chairs thrown all over the place and a sandwich on the floor. No no no no no.

I ran around the house, double checking. I heard the front door open and I quickly looked down the stairs. Tears were streaming down my face and I was so scared. I prayed it was Emmie and Saph but it wasn't. It was Casey and her parents. My hands were shaking as I continued to search through the house.

"What happened? Where's Emmie and Saphire?" Casey said, getting scared.

"I d-don't k-know." I stuttered, running to Saphire's room, hoping to find the little girl hiding. "I came here after I left for a few minutes to speak with my manager and they weren't here."

"I'll call the police." Casey said, running downstairs to call them. I just collapsed on the floor, pulling my knees to my chest. I shouldn't have left. I just shouldn't have left. Now someone has taken them or they ran away. It's all my fault. I just can't take it anymore.

A/n: This is short ik. But I'm starting to get a bit of writer's block.
