Chapter 5

*Luke*

I walk out of the office with a sigh of relief. I'm so glad I didn't get suspended or expelled. I just got detention. At least I could deal with that. I fixed my back pack and saw Emmie standing in the hallways staring at me with her arms crossed.

I smile at her and see her roll her eyes and say "Why the hell did you do that? You could've gotten expelled."

"But I didn't." I said and saw her roll her eyes. That girl rolls her eyes alot. "I can see that Hemmings." She said before looking at her phone. I walked over to her and wrapped my arm around her shoulders and saw her glare up at me through her eyelashes.

I smile down at her and say "Let's get to class now or else you'll get detention too and I'll get more time in detention."

She rolls her eyes again and slides her phone in her back pocket before letting me lead her to music.

*Emmie*

I looked up from my notebook and glanced at Michael who was sitting beside me. He was leaned back in his chair and has his feet on his desk and his arms crossed behind his head. I mentally sighed before looking up at the board where the teacher was writing some useless scientific stuff and wrote it down. 

I hated science with a burning passion. It has always been my least favorite, but I had to stick through it. The bell rang and the teacher turned around and faced us and said "You don't have any homework. You're dismissed." 

All the kids jumped up and grabbed their stuff before walking out, except Michael. I got up and grabbed my bag and shoved my notebook in before starting to walk to the door before Michael grabbed my hand.

I turned around and glared at him. "Damn Emmie. If looks could kill I'd be dead." He said sarcastically.

"That's the point." I growled. "Now tell me what you want or I'm leaving." I said yanking my hand from his.

"Calm down. I just wanted to say don't be mad at Luke. He didn't do anything." He said scratching the back of his head.

I rolled my eyes and said "I'm not mad at Luke. I just need some space from people." I turned around and walked out of the classroom and walked outside. I'm so glad school is over. I took my earbuds out of my backpack and put them in and turned on my music. 

I turned the volume up as high as I could without going deaf. I walked towards Target. That's the place where I'm free from my dad some idiots from school. I walked inside and to the bathroom where I changed into my uniform and walked out, putting my phone and my earbuds in my bag. I tossed my bag in my locker in the back of the store. 

I walked out to walk around the store to see if anyone needed anything. Just a normal day, until I saw him.
