Seventh Year

Zoe Black, along with Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Moody, Remus, Tonks, Fred, Mr. Weasley, her mother, Fred, Bill, and George, walked into Number Four Privet Drive.
Harry was standing in the kitchen, a confused look on his face. Zoe hugged him after her mother, a smile on her face. Mad Eye Moody came busting in through the happy crowd as everyone greeted Harry.
"Potter! You're underage which means you've still got the Trace on ya!" Mad Eye said in his usual grumbly voice. "What's the Trace?" Harry asked. "If you sneeze, the ministry'll know who wipes your nose. Point is, we have to use those means of transport the Trace can't detect. Brooms, thestrals, and the bike. We go in pairs."
Zoe looked at Fred with a smirk on her face, who was standing next to her. She'd stayed at the Burrow all Summer. He was quite the flirt.
She spent the Summer playing quidditch, denoming the garden, and annoying Ron with him.
He was irresistible to her. Their relationship was easy. He was on her side, his parents loved her, they didn't even have to hide their feelings from anyone.
Zoe's thought train was interrupted by Moody pounding his giant cane on the wooden floor. "Don't get comfortable next to each other. You don't get to choose your partner." He grumbled. Zoe's cheeks turned warm, the smirk wiped off her face.
"Anways... If there's anyone out there lookin' for us- and I reckon there will be- they won't know which Harry Potter is the real one." Moody finished his plan with a smirk on his face. He pulled out a corked bottle from his coat pocket. "The real one?" Harry still didn't understand. Moody waved the bottle in Harry's face. "I'm sure you're familiar with this particular brew." Mad Eye wriggled his eyebrows.
"No! Absolutely not!" Harry realized what the plan meant.
"Told you he'd take it well!" Hermione burst out.
"If you think I'm going to let everyone risk their lives for me-" Harry protested.
"Like we've never done that before!" Ron mumbled.
"No! This is different! Taking that- becoming me! No!" Harry was still frantic.
"It's not like we fancy it either, mate." George said.
"Yeah, imagine if something went we ended up as a squirrelly, specky git forever!" Fred giggled. Mad Eye, who was only watching Harry, spoke up. "Everyone here is of age, Potter. They've all agreed to take the risks."
Moody was interrupted by a cough. "Technically, I've been forced." Someone grumbled. Zoe rolled her eyes. The short little man had been annoying her ever since Moody picked him up. "Mundungus Fletcher, Mr. Potter. Always been a huge admirer..." He pushed through Zoe and Fred and held out a hand.
"Nip it, Mundungus!" Moody growled.
Zoe reached up behind Harry and grabbed a lock of his hair, catching him by surprise. He winced as she yanked it out and handed it to Moody. Fred snorted. "Blimey, Zoe!" Harry groaned, rubbing the back of his head.
Zoe joined the line of people that would become Harry. Her mother stood behind her. "For those of you who haven't taken Polyjuice Potion, a fair warning. It tastes like Goblin piss." Moody grumbled as they passed the bottle down the row.
Fred handed it to her. Zoe hesitantly took a swig and forced the disgusting liquid down her throat.
At first she only felt a tingling sensation throughout her body. Then, she grew a few inches taller. Her hair seemed to shrink back into her head. Body part, by body part she was transforming into Harry.
The whole process was extremely painful, but it didn't take more than two minutes for it to be over. "Wow, Harry you really have bad eyesight!" Hermione blurted.
Mad Eye dumped a sack of matching clothes on the ground.
Zoe, along with the six other Harrys, stripped out of her tight clothes and into the "Harry size" ones. First she slipped on a red long sleeved shirt, then a blue jacket, and jeans. Someone handed her a pair of glasses, identical to the real Harry's, which made the blurry room clear again.
"Harry you'll be with Hagrid on the bike. Hermione with Bill on thestral. Ron and Tonks on broom. George and Remus, Fred and Arthur, Zoe and Emmaline you'll go by broom as well. Mundungus is with me by thestral." Moody informed everyone.
Each partnership readied their form of transportation to a safe house. Emmaline handed Zoe her Nimbus 2000. She should've thrown it out since her and Draco had ended months ago, but she couldn't bring herself to it. There was still a part of her that wanted him back, the other wanting to move on.
"We'll be going to Kingsley's house and then back to the burrow by portkey." Emmaline patted Zoe's head with a smile. They'd been living with the Weasleys since Snape could easily have shown the Death Eaters Grimmauld Place. After Dumbledore, the house's secret keeper died, everyone that saw the house in person became a secret keeper them self.
"Zoe, I've got to tell you something. It's about-" Harry tried to say, his voice hushed.
"We can flirt later, Potter!" Moody barked. Mad Eye started to countdown before Harry or Zoe could protest. "One... Two... THREE!"
Everyone soared into the air by bike, broom, or thestral. For a half a mile they all flew side by side. "Wow! I think we might actually get away-" Fred exclaimed. He was interrupted by a commotion in front of them. They braced themselves for what was on the other side of the cloud they were in. "SPLIT!" Moody bellowed.
Everyone flew off in different directions, but that didn't stop the giant mass of masked Death Eaters from pursuing them. Three death Eaters were after Zoe and Emmaline. She could hear the screams in the distance.
"STUPEFY!" Zoe cried. They easily dodged her stunning spells. It was incredibly difficult to fly and fight at the same time. "PROTEGO!" Zoe cried as hexes, curses, and jinxes came flying at her.
"CONFRINGO!" Emmaline's wand exploded flames toward them. Even more Death Eaters joined their trail. "PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" Zoe finally hit someone and they slid off their broom, unable to hold on from the body bind. Some of the Death Eaters' masks flew off as they looked back at their falling pier.
"Conjunctivitus!" Zoe screamed aiming her wand at the mask-less Death Eaters. They started to fly off Zoe and Emmaline's direct tail since Zoe's curse messed up their eyesight.
"PROTEGO HORRIBILIS!" Emmaline howled, protecting Zoe from the incoming curse. "We're almost there!" Her mother called over the commotion.
"Impedimenta!"
"REDUCTO!"
"LEVICORPUS!"
"Stupefy!"
"CONJUNCTIVITUS!"
"Immobulus!"
"Stupefy!"
Both Zoe and Emmaline shot different spells at the Death Eaters. They had gotten rid of most of them, but the first three still remained. The two in the front seemed to be shooting spells nonstop, while the one in the back shot spells like "Stupefy" and "Expelliarmus" that were easy to block with "Protego".
A sudden gust of wind blew their masks off. Zoe's stomach did several flips in a row.
Amycus Carrow, Alecto Carrow, and Draco Malfoy were chasing after them. Spells whizzed past her head, barely missing her only by luck. A wave of rage passed over her as Alecto barely missed her mother with a killing curse.
"CONFRINGO!"
"STUPEFY!"
"CONJUNCTIVITUS!"
"REDUCTO!"
"FLIPENDO!"
"PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!"
"IMMOBULUS!"
"LEVICORPUS!"
"IMPEDIMENTA!"
Zoe started screaming every spell she knew that would hurt them. Her mother was doing the same. Zoe was hyperventilating now. "This isn't the real Potter! He's not this aggresive!" Amycus yelled over the heavy wind and screams. The trio started to fly away. They knew. The real Harry was in even more danger now. "SECTUMSEMPRA!" Zoe cried, she vowed never to use that spell. It was uncontrollable. She didn't realize what she had conjured until Amycus fell backwards on his broom and hurdled toward the ground like a bloody cannonball.
Zoe met eyes with Draco. He looked as terrified as she was. Every memory she had with him flashed in her mind.
When they first met, the hogsmeade snowball fight, their first kiss, the yule ball, the time in the record shop, when he helped the DA, the time she came crying into his arms when she came back from the battle of mysteries, him telling her he was a deatheater, their first time, the break up, their fight after she had kissed harry, him blaming her poisioning on himself, when she saved his life, and her watching him leave with the reckless Deatheaters. Her vision faded into reality. Their eyes were still locked.
It took every strength, mentally and physically, that Zoe had not to fling herself off her broom to see if he would save her. Zoe wanted him to hold her, to feel something for her, to touch her at least. She needed something other then staring. She needed him.
"ZOE C'MON!" Her mom yelled. She had to shut her eyes to turn away. Zoe shot off toward Kingsley's house, the image of Draco still plastered in her mind.
She landed and instantly fell down. Her body was limp and numb. "Zoe! C'mon we're gonna miss our portkey! Hurry!" Her mom said between shaky breathes.
They ran into Kingsley's house. "Death Eaters... Everywhere... Someone told them..." Emmaline told Kingsley as he hurried them to where a glowing pair of binoculars glowed on a table. It wasn't until Zoe was spinning through the air towards the Burrow with the portkey did she realize she left the broom Draco had given her in Kingsley's backyard.
They landed in the Weasley's field. Immediately, Emmaline started sprinting toward the house. Zoe, who was confused as to why her mother looked so angry, trailed behind. Remus came sprinting out too, his wand drawn. Her mum drew her wand before meeting face to face with Remus. Zoe had to step out of the way of the middle of them. She looked at Remus and then to her mother, repeatedly, out of confusion.
"The last words Dumbledore spoke to the pair of us?" Emmaline hissed. Zoe watched in horror. Why were they all of a sudden fighting?
"Harry is the best hope we have. Trust him." Remus breathed.
They both put down their wands with a sigh of relief. Remus noticed Zoe's face. He pulled his wand back out. "In second year, who did I tell you your boggart was?" He asked sternly. "Alecto Carrow- and it was in third year." Zoe said firmly.
Remus patted her shoulder with a small smile on his face. Suddenly a loud groan came from inside the house.
George was laying on the couch, blood was all over the side of his face. Ginny, Hagrid, Mrs. Weasley, Emmaline, and Remus gathered around him. Harry stood in the corner looking extremely shaken.
"You okay?" Zoe asked, standing beside him. He shook his head.
"I need to tell you something now that we have time." Harry said quietly. Zoe nodded. "Remember when I said I could see into Voldemort's mind..." He started out.
"I thought you were supposed to shut him out?"
Harry shrugged. "It's hard to control when I'm asleep."
Zoe nodded. "Anyways, go on..."
"Well, I saw a meeting. They were all sitting around a table and someone asked why there was an empty seat." Harry explained. Zoe felt a nervous chill throughout her body. "Bellatrix..."
He nodded. "Voldemort told them all that you did it. Then he said he wanted to avenge her-"
"So they want to kill me." Zoe breathed. Her stomach lurched. "Alecto volunteered but Voldemort, he- he..." Harry stuttered.
"What." Zoe wanted him to hurry up and spit it out. She wasn't sure how it could get any worse.
"They want Draco to do it."
Zoe was in complete shock. Somehow, it had gotten significantly worse. She didn't know what to think nor what to say. She decided to join the crowd of people around George. "It was Snape. He used Sectumsempra." Remus grumbled. Zoe's stomach lurched again. George was lucky that he only lost an ear.
Hermione and Bill stumbled in the door. The looked incredibly shaken, more than everyone else. "Mad Eye's dead." Bill announced.
The mood instantly changed from stress to sadness. There was a long moment of silence. "Mundungus took one look at Voldemort and disapparated." Bill continued. Ron, Tonks, Fred, and Arthur were still gone. Molly turned back to George.
They killed Moody because he was in the way. How long would it take for them to find her if they intentionally wanted her dead? She hated that it was true, but her life still rested in Draco's hands.
Remus was pacing back and forth until footsteps were heard outside. Everyone ran outside to see who it was, praying they didn't hear any more bad news. Hermione and Harry sprinted over to Ron. Tonks threw her arms around Remus. Zoe stood next to Ginny who was ghostly pale as well. They caught eyes and instantly knew they were thinking the same thing. Where was Arthur and Fred?
"Get over here, Zoe!" Tonks said, a smile on her face. She was pulled into a hug between Tonks and Remus.
"I remember holding you before I went into hiding, I always wondered what you'd turn out like." Remus said. Zoe had never thought about the fact that the Order had probably met her as a child.
"I'd say she turned out okay." Tonks laughed.
"Just like her badass mother!" Emmaline joined the group. Zoe smiled. She wished this feeling of happiness would last forever. Being surrounded by her three biggest role models, who were also the people she loved most, made her feel a feeling no one else could bring upon her. If only Sirius were here...
There was a crack. Zoe whipped her head around and saw Fred and Arthur, who appeared unharmed. She sprinted and wrapped her arms around Fred's neck. "I was worried sick..." She breathed.
"It's okay... I'm okay... You're okay... We're okay." He said between heavy breathes. It felt like she had 100 pounds on her shoulders an about half of them had disappeared now that he was back.
-------------------------------------
"You are not wearing black to a wedding!"
Bandit sighed at her mother's comment. Reluctantly, she spun on her heels and headed back to her room. She wasn't even sure if she owned a different color dress.
"Told you her mom would make her change!" Harper told Juliet, who was sitting next to her on Bandit's bed. Bandit gave them a playful glare. She opened her closet and dug all the way to the back.
"You don't own a dress that's not black, do you?" Juliet laughed.
"Accio red dress!" Harper pointed her wand at her suitcase. A deep scarlet dress flew into her hand. She held it up.
"I'm sure red can be edgy enough for you. The wedding's only a couple hours." Harper tossed the dress to Bandit. She started changing in front of them, she wasn't even phased. However, Juliet and Harper shrieked and covered their eyes.
Harper's dress was a tad big, but Bandit would have to live with it she didn't have anything else.
"It looks good!" Juliet chirped.
"Girls! We're leaving!" Bandit's father called from downstairs. The girls hurried down to catch the portkey. A drumstick was glowing, rested on a coffee table.
"I missed Zoe! I can't wait to see her!" Juliet announced happily.
"Same!" Harper exclaimed. Bandit nodded, a smile on her face. She stared at the picture of her brother that was placed on the coffee table before touching the glowing drumstick and spinning away.
They arrived, as planned, outside of the Burrow's boundary. Zoe and Fred came running up the hill. Bandit was confused. Why were they holding hands? As soon as Zoe caught a glimpse of them she started sprinting, pulling Fred along with her.
She let go only to throw herself around Bandit, Harper, and Juliet. "Oh my God!" was all they could manage to say, other than the happy giggles that escaped them. Bandit was glad they were all reunited again.
They all let go. "It's a bit of a walk to get there, but we've got to make sure we're all safe." Zoe explained as they all walked inside the protected boundary and toward the giant white tent in the backyard. "You've got explaining to do!" Harper whispered, pointing at Zoe's hand which was entwined with Fred's.
They found their correct assigned seats before the wedding started. Bandit, Harper, Zoe, and Juliet were seated in the third row of golden chairs. A long violet carpet served as the aisle.
They all looked at Zoe, expecting her to start her explanation. She sat, totally oblivious, and admired all the beautiful decorations. Bandit flicked the side of her head. "Fred? Explain?" She said.
Zoe smiled. "Well I don't know! We just got close over the Summer, I guess. It's not official or anything- well maybe it is. I've never really thought about it till now!" Zoe rambled.
"So you're over Malfoy?" Bandit asked hopefully.
Zoe's smile faded. "I'm not sure about that either... Harry told me that they've assigned him to kill me-"
"WAIT, WHAT?!" Harper shrieked, trying to keep her voice quiet.
"Harry can see in Voldemort's mind. He saw a meeting. They want me dead because I killed Bellatrix." Zoe explained calmly.
"How are you so calm?" Juliet asked, she was appalled.
Zoe shrugged. "He won't be able to do it, trust me. He had a chance already a couple days ago."
Before someone could ask her to explain more Harry, Hermione, Ron, and the twins took their seats around them. "When I get married, I won't be bothering with any of this nonsense. You can all wear what you like, and I'll put a full body bind curse on Mum until it's all over!" Fred joked as he sat down next to Zoe. They all started to laugh. It felt refreshing to find some happiness during the dark times.
The music started. Bill and Charlie Weasley stood at the front. Gabrielle, Fleur's sister, and Ginny walked down the aisle in beautiful golden dresses. Then Fleur, looking radiant as always, floated down the purple aisle escorted by her father.
As the couple began to take their vows, many guests started to cry. Juliet was quietly sobbing as well as Molly Weasley, Apolline Delacour, Hermione, and Hagrid. The wizard presiding over the ceremony, the same speaker from Dumbeldore's funeral, waved his wand over Bill and Fleur's heads. A shower of bright stars fell upon their entwined bodies.
Fred and George led the applause. The golden balloons that they made burst into tiny golden bells and singing birds of paradise that flew around the tent.
Everyone stood up and the golden chairs disappeared, as well as the walls of the tent. Now the sunlit orchard and countryside could be seen. A dance floor and decorated tables formed. Waiters brought around beverages and food as Frozen Dream started to play a happy, soft tune.
Juliet was happily dancing with Neville, who was invited to the reception. Zoe was laughing and dancing around with Fred. Bandit and Harper danced together, mocking everyone else.
The sun had set and the stars were coming out. Bandit was now sitting down with Juliet, giving her feet a rest. Harper was meeting Elphias Doge. Suddenly, the beautiful reception was interrupted by a Patronus flying inside. It was a lynx. "Ministry of Magic has been taken over by Voldemort. Scrimgeour is dead. They are on their way." Bandit recognized Kingsley's voice before the chaos begun. Everyone was pushing and shoving, trying to gather up their family. Bandit grabbed Juliet's shaky hand and pulled her toward where Harper was. Bandit looked up and saw Zoe mouth "Go!".
As soon as Bandit's hand touched Harper's they disapparated away from all the chaos.
-------------------------------------
It had been two days since the wedding. Juliet, Bandit, and Harper had thankfully escaped unharmed before the Death Eaters came. Bandit's parents also made it home safe. Juliet was starting to worry about the others. How many people escaped? Were the Weasleys okay? Then she remembered something Zoe had told them. "They wanted Zoe dead. Do you think she's-" Juliet asked, her heart hearting.
"Stop. No. She's alive. We'll see her on the train..." Harper started rambling to reassure herself.
"She's good at dueling. I know she's fine." Bandit said, but Juliet could feel the worry in her voice.
Hours later, as the girls had nothing to take their minds off the current situation, an owl tapped at Bandit's window. She came back with a copy of the Daily Prophet and their letters. Bandit shook the newspaper, making all the parts fall out. "What are you doing?!" Harper shrilled as she waved her wand and put the newspaper back together. "There's only two letters. One for me and for you!" Bandit looked confused as she handed Harper her letter.
Juliet picked up the newspaper and saw the headline. "They're not allowing muggle borns at Hogwarts."
Bandit and Harper's eyes widened. "You-Know-Who has control over the ministry, you heard Kingsley. It makes sense." Harper pointed out.
Bandit pointed at another headline. "Snape's the bloody headmaster! We're screwed!" Bandit burst out. Harper groaned.
"You're screwed? I can't even go this year! What am I gonna do?!" Juliet cried. There was a silence while everyone thought of a solution. Harper spoke up. "I heard the Abbots went into hiding. You could say you're-"
"No! That's too risky!" Juliet shrilled.
"You could just stay here-" Bandit tried to suggest.
"I need to go to school, though!" Juliet argued.
"Then you sneak in as Hannah Abbot!" Harper said.
"The teachers aren't stupid! The other students aren't stupid! One of the Slytherins is bound to give me away! They all know what I am!" Juliet cried.
"I could obliviate everyone's memories of you and Hannah-" Harper suggested.
"What about the people who had good memories with her!" Juliet said.
"I'll just obliviate the Slytherins! Then we'll just explain to everyone else that knows you." Harper declared. "It's whatever you want Juliet. If you really want to go, you're gonna have to risk some things."
