Hello Everyone,
As stated in the description, this is where I will be taking part in Catrina Burgess' writing boot camp. Each exercise will be preceded by an author's note such as this one. It will explain the confines of each exercise and any other information I deem necessary to include at the time. Because this is not technically an established story on Wattpad, meaning I had an idea and chose to use it for this boot camp rather than outright post it as a stand alone work. It doesn't have an official title but the working title I've come up with is In Shades of Grey .
Exercise 1: Part 1 was assigned as a five hunrded to one thousand word story, or opening to a story as I considered it, written without the use of any dialogue tags. Its function was to convey to the reader a sense of which charaters were speaking and of thier emotions simply through the dialogue on the page, teaching us to show rather than tell what is happening.
I wish the best of luck to everyone else choosing to take on Cat's challenge, and I hope people reading my story will find it interesting.
