I was so shocked when I saw people had actually read my book...

Tahlia's P.O.V

Waking up I slowly got ready for school and arrived in a tired daze.

I was so sleepy I could barely keep my eyes open. I had dreams about my past. About the night my mother and father left and never came back. And about my sister. I wouldn't call them dreams more like memories that haunted me in my sleep. After I had these dreams I couldn't go to sleep again. Every time I closed my eyes their faces appeared. I just read werewolf stories from midnight till around 5 when I finally drifted into a uneasy sleep until my alarm blared waking me from my doze at around 6

I wasn't paying attention to where I was going as I walked up the stairs to the hall in school. The person in front of me stopped and I ran into them before losing my and toppling backwards. I landed in someone's arms. Sparks tingled across my skin from where his arms touched me.

I opened my eyes. They had closed when I started to fall. I looked at the guy who caught me. one word ran across my mind when I see him. DAYM!

He was the guy from the pond!

The werewolf. Wait sparks? I wonder if things I have read from in werewolf stories is true? coz if they are that means I have a mate...

Not good. I have major trust issues.

"Thanks" I say to him slightly out of breath.

He smiles at me before answering.

"No problem" his voice is deep and husky. It just suits his appearance.

I drag my eyes away from his and look around. People are staring at me. I growl slightly but then blush when I realise I am still in the wolf guys arms. I look at him and the look pointedly at the floor. He chuckled softly before putting me back on the ground. I glare at the people staring at me and after they see my glare they all hurry back to whatever they were doing before.

'Well this is embarrassing' Bella sad in my head

'Tell me bout it' I say back to her.

I feel someone shaking me so I snap out of the mind connection with Bella.

"Hey you right?" the guy asks

"Huh? Oh right yeah" I say, wincing at how stupid I sound. "It's Ryder right?" I ask trying to regain some dignity.

He smiles at me

"Yeah" he says "I never got your name" he hints

"Oh" I say "you haven't heard about the rumours of the loner Tahlia?" I ask him shocked. If he did want slut face from in the cafeteria then I'm sure he would have heard all the lovely things they say about me... note sarcasm!

"I've heard about the respected Tahlia..." he says to me "but not about a loner"

I grin at him. I like this dude.

I stick out my hand for him to shake

"Friends?" I ask him. He grins at me before wrapping me into a hug. I turn lightheaded. Damn he smells good!

He pulls back and I feel like pouting. What the hell! what is with me?

"My friends and I hug where I'm from" he explains to me briefly before dragging me up the stairs. I'm still slightly lightheaded. I snap out of it when I see people staring.

I suddenly dig my heels into the ground to stop jolting Ryder back in the process. He falls over backwards. I start laughing at the expression on his face. He looks up at me and pouts

"You were supposed to catch me" he says sulkily

"Aww diddums. I'm sorry you big baby" I laugh at him

He sits up straighter on the floor and looks at me

"What did you call me?" he asks playfully angry

"Me? nothing" I say innocently

He fake scowls at me before lunging for my feet. I side step and run away to my locker, hurriedly grab my stuff and run full pelt into class. We were getting a little too close for a minute there. What was I thinking? I was letting someone in! no! no! no! not a good idea. You'll only get hurt in the end.

'Maybe we can trust him' Bella says to me

'Are you crazy?' I ask her incredulously.

'Did you not learn from last time?' I asked her

She growled at me

'Of course I learnt. It effected me to you know!'

'Then why would we trust someone else?'

'BECAUSE I THINK HE MIGHT BE OUR MATE!' she screams at me.

I freeze.

Our mate? is that even possible. I've always wanted a mate. I want someone I really can trust but it is just so difficult to trust when you have been hurt in the past.

I am jostled from my thoughts by someone sitting next to me. I look over to see the new girl sitting there. Ryder's sister. Alice I think her name is.

"Hey" she says pleasantly

I smile back hesitantly

"Not much of a talker?" she asks

"It's not that I don't talk it's just I'm not used to people talking to me " I answer

She just nods. She seems to be thinking about something.

Class starts and I half fall asleep.

Alice turns to me suddenly.

"Are you a werewolf?" she whisper shouts
