* class starts and I'm half asleep.

Alice turns to me suddenly.

"Are you a werewolf?" she whisper shouts *

Tahlia's POV

I choke slightly

"A what sorry?"

"A werewolf" Alice says to me patiently

"You're crazy right... werewolves don't exist"

"Course they don't" she says after a second "I was just kidding around"

I mentally snort. Sure you were..

I stay silent for the rest of the lesson and 'pay attention' to the teacher.

In other words just draw in my notebook.

When the bell rings I get up, shove my stuff into my bag and start walking out of the classroom.

"Wait up" someone calls suddenly

I pause, looking back over my shoulder as I do

"Yes?" I ask, eyebrows raised

Alice rushes up to me.

"Can I sit with you at lunch today? my brother and I don't want to be surrounded by the fake people that swarm us whenever we do so much as breathe" she took a took a deep, calming breath after her mini rant.

"Sure, I guess" I tell her with a shrug

"Though what makes you think I'm not fake?" I ask her curiously

"You're straight to the point. I like that" she says smiling

I start to walk away again when she calls me again

Spinning around again I look at her, waiting for her to continue

"Can we be friends? I would love you to be my friend" she asks me quietly.

You know what. I'm tired of being alone

'Excuse me?!' Bella cries indignantly

'Apart from you of course Bella darling' I answer. I can picture her grinning,

'that's what I thought' mutters Bella cheekily

I want to open up. Not fully, but enough to have friends

I smile at Alice

"I would love that to"

She squeals and wraps me in a hug

"We gonna have so much fun!" she yells

I grin, laughing softly at her.

I feel happy. An I love it

**after school - at Tahlia's house**

I had the best day today.

Lunch was fun. Loads of fun.

I joked around with Alice and her brother.

My two first friends. I can't wait to spend more time with them.

I'm going shopping with Alice on the weekend then she is going to sleep over at my house. It's going to be great.

Maybe my life just got a whole lot better... Hopefully
