The Kind Hearted Man

**Kierran's POV**

As we went through the woods I was still rather skeptical of the man. His cat stumbled into the woods with us and now were getting food. This is weird. We went a mile down the backside of the woods and there was a small brown warm looking home seemed rather secluded but hey it is like the vampire apocalyptic takeover. Damn these bastards. I need to kill all of them. 

We walked up the broken up sidewalk to the house, the man pulls out a key and puts it in the lock proving its his house. We walk in to see an ordinary looking house. The living was decorated and very living as seemed the rest of the house nice kitchen. "Brian is that you?" a women says as she comes rushing down the stairs with a bat. "It's okay Lisa." says the man named Brian. "I went off to go find Aphrodite and I found these kind people." 

They seem normal. "You double checked and made sure none of them are vampires right." says Lisa. Brian nods his head. Lisa says "I heard some were buying contacts these days to blend in from the ladies down south." Aurora says "We were just here because Brian offered us some food, we were in the woods on a journey and we were almost out." Lisa smiles "I'll make you kids a meal now, I love to cook some good thing you came for food!" 

Brian told us we could sit down in the living room. It was weird being in someone else's home and not my kingdom. I'm away from there now. For how long it'll stay this way only time will tell. We waited patiently little chit chatter as Lisa cooked the meal, the living began to smell so good and we were all just mouth watering to taste this shit.

 Aurora was playing with Aphrodite messing with her tail. She was pretty for being human and all her fiery red hair with that pale skin. From what I've heard you can tell the difference between a vampire and a human by how they look because vampires tend to be more stunning but she really truly is beautiful. She turned her head and kinda sneered at me. Shit. She caught me looking at her. "Um so where are we going when we leave here?" Xavier says "To kill some more vampires that's for sure." 

Lisa steps in and says "Dinners ready we all rushed and pushed each other out of the way to get to the kitchen. We sat at the table which had a cute little elegant designed table cloth. She made a whole encore of spaghetti with some veggies, and steak. She had a little side dish of everything this almost reminded me of the meals at home. Aurora spoke up so I secretly tuned in without looking at her "I never have had a real meal before, everything of mine is out of a can and heated up over a fire." 

Lisa laughed at that "Darling you are so funny." I got kinda angered at that "She's not kidding." Aurora just brushed it off "This meal is great, thank you." Lisa smiled smugly and glared at me. She has such a nice life and doesn't understand how much shit we go through. They even have a fucking cat. I haven't seen a living animal in so long. They all went to who knows where when the vampire out break was at its strongest. 

Now apparently they are trying to have an Uprising and we can't allow this to happen. We need to kill them all one by one. This is the vampire war. I sat silently at the table watching Xavier talk about his life as a slave. Lisa cooed with awe and condolences. After a while she turned to me "Hey you." I looked up and said "Yes ma'am." "Whats your story?" 

"I was a blacksmith who ran away from his village because his father hates him for being a bastard." 

Lisa just starred at me for the rest of the meal and it kind of weirded me out. I wondered what she was thinking. "Do you guys need a place to crash for the night because we can offer you shelter and safety, even though my wife may not look like it shes good with a bat." I smirked and laughed a little. "We don't need...." Aurora says "We'd love to stay for just the night and then be on our way for tomorrow."

Is she taking this deal for herself. She has never really seen a house before. "We only have one bed though you all can share it if you want too." Lisa says smiling at us "We'll take the couches because it's not often we have visitors." Aurora says "Yeah I can imagine I haven't seen any houses for miles, I would have never even noticed you guys back here if we hadn't ran into your husband." Lisa began to clean up our plates and organize the stuff after and then she said "It's time for me to retire." Brian nodded and said "I'll show you guys the bedroom, and there's a bathroom in there so you have everything you need." 

He led us down and a hall and to the left I memorized the path to the door in case of an emergency. If something were too go wrong. I heard the wife come up to him and mumble "He looks like the...." but I was cut off by Aurora closing the bedroom door. I stayed quiet and went and took a spot on the floor. Xavier followed and did the same and Aurora ran and jumped into the bed. She giggled the whole time. 

A while passed and I knew she wasn't sleeping. Her breathing was too light. Xavier though was snoring away on the other side of the room drives me insane. She smirked and turned her head to face me. "Yes?" I said. Her blue eyes felt like she was staring into my soul. "I've never really jumped into a bed before yeah I've raided houses but it was while people were sleeping or they were empty and destroyed places for food." I smiled at her "I'm sorry, you shouldn't have had to go through any of this." 

She looked at me "If none of this happened, I wouldn't have met you guys." Kierran looked at her quizzically. "So you care about us?" He smirked. She glared at him "No that's not what i'm saying if I hadn't met you we wouldn't be traveling as a bad ass vampire killing machine team." She was blushing so hard and hoping I wouldn't notice. 

I acted like I didn't want her. We both can play hard to get sweetie. She started to drift off to sleep. I was left alone staring at the ceiling. I didn't sleep often I have like the worst insomnia ever. I haven't slept since I left my kingdom. I've been too bound by fear to sleep. Fear that they are going to come for me and when they do they are going to kill us all. I should tell them the truth they are my team. 

If I do they will hate me forever, and forever is a long time. I've never really had friends before and I want to do this right. I had accomplices my whole life nobody really to share your deepest darkest secrets with even though I told them my name straight of the bat. Why did I trust these people so much. Aphrodite pushed the door open when she saw me she hissed. I held my hand out.

She sniffed me and made a weird face. Sniffed me again. Bite my finger lightly. Sniffed some more and curled up and laid down to sniff me. Such an odd cat.
