"More than friends?..."

4. Mixed feelings.

Grayson's POV
I'm showing Ethan the pictures of Ali's artwork, she's really talented, I look up and her and cams gone, I was too busy focusing I didn't even hear them leave.
"Bro, these are sick" ethan stated enthusiastically
"Yeah" I smiled
"I know I keep joking about you two liking each other but I'm your twin your best friend, do you honestly like her in a more than friends way?..." he asked serially
There was a pause, it wasn't that I didn't want to tell him, but because I didn't actually know myself... either I liked her just as a good friend or not it was hard to tell at this point
"I actually don't know right now" I truthfully answered
"What? How do you not know? I mean I think you do your always smiling when I talk about her, you get nervous around her, plus you've been acting strange since we met her last week" he stated
" I know but I need to know her a bit more for all we know she hates me and there away talking about me" I whisper
"Dude, she likes you, well I think I dont really know her but if she hated you, she wouldn't have stayed out so late with you last night and got sick, you just need to spend more time with each other" he smirked as the girls walked back in
"What were you talking about" cam asked
"Oh..not um just about Ethan and the girl he's been meeting in up with" I lied
"Oh yeah me and maya" he backed me up
"Yeah how is she?" Cam responds
"She's fine, she actually wants to meet you all soon?" Ethan replied
"Wait you don't even call her your girlfriend and she wants to meet your family already" Alison chuckles
"Yeah, and you" he answers calmly
"What? How does she even know me?" Alison asks
"I was talking about you all yesterday so.." he pulled out his phone
"Hey cam, will you come with me to... get mom some grey paint I don't know the way" he hesitates
"Yeah you do, you go straight down the.."
"Just come.. please" Ethan pleads.

They both leave, without really saying anything just leaving me and Ali awkwardly.
"So uh, you have any other hobbies apart from art?" I asked
"Not much... we'll I love going to ice hockey games" she answered
"Me too, who's your team, something Canadian I take it?" I sit up in my chair sitting diagonal from the couch she's sitting on. I react  more interested .
"Yeah maple leafs but I've always liked jersey devils because of my dad" he replies
I smiled at her, obviously she wasn't looking. Ethan has got into my head
"Good answer" I chuckle
My phone buzzes and it's a text from Ethan reading 'you can thank me later, you and ali can have about an hour and a half or so alone😉" of course Ethan would do this.

Alison's POV
"Really" I laughed. I felt myself getting more tired and cold, I had a blanket over me, the fire lit and I was still freezing, I could now feel shivers
"Are you ok? You don't look too good" he stated
"Yeah just cold" I yawned
I felt a little drozy since I took my medication, it says in the box I could go like this and then sleep but I don't want to leave gray just sitting here on his own but I could barely keep my eyes open and I cant really control on what I was saying
"Your already sick aren't you" I asked pulling the blanket higher
"Yeah" he replies
" come over here and give me cuddles I'm freezing" I confusedly asked
"Ok sure" he chuckles, stood up and walked over to the couch and sat on my left and out his arm around me. I couldn't stay awake any longer, I had to fall asleep.

I awaken an hour later. I'm laying down, I'm still freezing but Grayson isn't laying beside me for a minute I thought I was dreaming but he came walking in
"Hey, your awake" he sits at the bottom of my feet
"Yeah.. sorry for falling asleep, what did you do?" I asked
"It's ok, you know you sleep talk, you were talking about Cameron keeping a secret and when I tried to lay you down earlier you wouldn't let me go it was so funny and nothing much" he laughed, I got really embarrassed and turned red.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" I put my hand through my hair planking my face into my hands
"It's fine honestly it was cute" he looked back to his phone
"Is cam and Ethan not back yet?"
"No there stuck in traffic so they won't be here for another hour or so" he responds
"Ok, do you wanna put on a movie or something then?" I question
"Sure" he answers and we both look through what's on Netflix.
We decide on 'clueless' even though he says he hates the film but I love it so I'm making him watch it.
"You need anything before it starts" he asks
"Oh yeah I'll go get a drink actually" I go to sit up
"It's ok I'll get it. You want popcorn?" He responds while walking out of the room
"Yes please" I shout in. Okay every second I'm with him I'm liking him more and more. But I can't we're just friends.
He comes back 5 minutes later sitting more away from me.
"What are you doing? Come up here" I laugh. He scoots over, picking up my legs and putting them on top of his, sharing my blanket. I look down at him and smile to myself, he is so damn cute.

The movie ends and the door opens and closes again.  In comes Ethan and Cameron. "You too seem snug" Ethan jokes
"We are to be honest" I laugh
I sit up letting them sit down, I stay near gray, I don't know why, it's like my body needs to be with him.
My aunt come in not long after
"Hey Jessie, what are you doing home so early" I ask
"Glad you asked, I just got promoted!" She squeals
I hear a couple "congratulations"
"Well done Jessie" I smile as she gives me a hug
"So what you all doing then?" She sits down in the chair diogonly facing me
"Nothing much just been watching movies" gray answers.
I get a weird look from cam, she will never let this die the me and gray thing.
"Well I'm going in to make dinner, you are all welcome to stay" Jessie smiles
"Yeah, thank you" cam replies for the boys too.

All through dinner, I couldn't help but stare at Grayson, I don't know why okay maybe because I really like him now.
When he catches me staring I look away in 0.002 seconds hoping he doesn't realise.
We finish up dinner and Ethan states that they have to go home now. I get up and walk them to the front door. "Thanks for keeping me company today" I speak up, "yeah no problem, Snapchat me about what we were talking about in the kitchen earlier" Cameron asks giving me a hug
"Is was mostly Grayson" Ethan smirked at me and leaving the house
"Yeah, um if you need anything or need company tomorrow just text me I'm not doing anything" Grayson states shyly
"Yeah will do, I'll text you later anyway" I smile. He leaves and I felt stupid butterflies in my stomach again. I need to find a way just to think of him as a friend so I don't get my heart broke. I don't even have time for a boyfriend, I need to get Seattled in and organised for collage in 3 months. 3 months is a long time.
