It was dusk when they were sneaking into the Thunderclan camp, hidden by the shadows of the night. Darkclaw and her former apprentice, Shrewclaw, padded silently beside her. Greyfur swore Thunderclan could hear her heart racing, Ravenstar was in front of her, head and tail held high. Greyfur knew she would fight like all of Lionclan for her clanmates. "Shadowclan is attacking!" a voice yowled, Mousetail, Greyfur thought. "Shadowclan, attack!" Yowled Ravenstar, at the same time Birdstar yowled, "Thunderclan, attack!" Screeches of cats going into battle sounded around Greyfur, a claw struck her ear, and she glared at the Thunderclan warrior and snarled, Thornfur, and jumped ontop of the tom in a furry of claws and teeth. Greyfur clamped her teeth down on his shoulder until he yowled in pain and rage, he clawed her haunches with his hind legs and she sprang off him, still snarling. Thornfur vanished as two other Shadowclan cats tackled him. Greyfur heard a painful yowl, as she saw Ravenstar and Birdstar fighting, Birdstar had clawed her muzzle deeply, Ravenstar bit her ear until it tore. Greyfur sprang to help Ravenstar, she clawed the Thunderclan leader's flanks and Ravenstar bit her shoulder. Greyfur was flung away by one powerful paw, Sunpelt had flung Greyfur to the ground, clawing her sides and ears. She fought back, clawing his belly deeply until he fell over in pain. As Greyfur got up, she heard a yowl cut off, Ravenstar! She ran over to her leader, limp on the ground with a deep gash on her belly. All the fighting cats froze and silence fell over the Thunderclan camp. Ravenstar's breathing was coming in shallow breaths. Greyfur glared at Birdstar. "Keep your warriors away from Shadowclan, or we'll fight again, harder. Shadowclan, back to camp." Greyfur grabbed Ravenstar by the scruff, Goldenwhisker, Fernpelt, and Shrewclaw helped carry her back to camp. Every cat had wounds all over their body, Greyfur had a bite mark on her shoulder, bleeding a lot and her haunches bleeding too. Greyfur's ear had torn in the fight with Birdstar.
