Sasuke brought Naruto to a strange, deserted place. A stone building with the doors collapsed, and barely any light.
Sasuke held up a hand and created a ball of compressed fire chakra the size of a fist, the ball completely lit up the room and Naruto was stunned by what he saw.
A statue of a warrior. He stood tall and inspired hope even in the young blonde. He had short hair, handsome features, and a fairly muscular frame. He wore a jacket and boots that covered his toes. What was strange though, was that every inch of the statue had very small names carved into it.
"The Hero Monument. The rebels put it up in your honor and carved the name of every hero who has fallen to this war into it. There are thousands of names." Sasuke spoke solemnly. "Boruto and I are the last capable ninja left, other than the civilians we protect, it's likely that I'll be dead soon so I want you to have something." He aimed a palm at the statue a golden chakra and purple chakra leaked out, mixing in the air and becoming white. "It's a bit of chakra from myself and your future self. It won't be much but when the time is right, it'll help."
Sasuke's eyes widened. "He's here! Damn!"
Then he looked at Naruto and when Naruto blinked he saw the young Sasuke he'd remembered, complete with both eyes, along with the rest of the class looking at him.
"You okay? You kinda just yelled and fell like some damsel in distress." Sasuke said, but Naruto pushed himself to his feet.
Naruto had a million things running through his mind at once, but one big thing bothered him. He glared at Shikamaru, who just gave him a confused look before going back to sleep. "I'm fine. Sasuke we need to get stronger immediately."
"Kay, how?" Sasuke shrugged, the other students began getting back to their own conversations.
"The power the old man gave us, it's stronger than normal jutsu. I think we should focus on it instead of regular stuff." Naruto looked at his hands. "We aren't normal Shinobi, why should we train like we are?" Naruto asked quietly, getting a nod from Sasuke.
"We'll have to convince Itachi, which means we need to tell him about our powers." Sasuke leaned back in his chair. "I wonder where he is?"

The medical ninja's hands were giving off a glowing green color. "Itachi-san, I found it. I know what's wrong with you." He closed his eyes. "You've got stage four chakra cancer. Your chakra network is killing you."
Itachi closed his eyes. "Can you fix it?"
The doctor shook his head sadly. "No. I'm not good enough for that type of procedure, I- where are you going?"
Itachi had stood and slung his coat over his shoulder. "To pick up my team. How can I prolong my life and not agitate it?"
The man sighed. "Not using your chakra. The more you use, the faster you'll die. If you refrain from using chakra, I can see you lasting another year, if you use it as you do now, you'll get around three months."
Itachi nodded at that and began walking, thinking intently about what he needs to do.

"So this is earth... I'm not even remotely impressed." A man floated high above the ocean, staring at a wooden ship a few hundred meters away. He was very pale, had long brown hair tied into a ponytail similar to Itachi's except shorter in the back, and a smooth face. What really stood out though, was his byakugan eyes. He wore white and dark blue robes and a green orb on a necklace.
A man yelled from the ship. "You are in the land of Lightning, during a country wide lockdown! Come down, and surrender for questioning or you will be attacked with ninjutsu!"
The floating man scoffed. I could obliterate the ship from here....but where's the fun in that?
The man vanished with a flicker of white light, appearing on the ship in a fraction of a second. He activated his byakugan. "My name is Jaisake, pleasure to make your acquaintance humans."
The man who had yelled earlier tried to attack only for Jaisake to slap his arm to the side and grab hold of the man's shirt, then hurling him overboard with such strength that the man didn't start slowing down until he was out of sight. "Well, he's probably dead."
All at once the ship's crewman began to attack. Several tried to overwhelm him with taijutsu by attacking at once but his byakugan allowed him to see them coming and he disarmed them, brutally breaking their bodies with his inhuman strength.
Out of the corner of his vision he saw a man going through handsigns and landing on the lightning sign. The man breathed in as he tried to spit a ball of lightning out....tried.
Jaisake flexed his chakra, changing its nature and sending it out without a moments notice. "Handsigns are so....primitive."
Wind chakra had sliced through the man and left him in a bleeding pile of pieces.
Then Jaisake dodged to the side, narrowly dodging an arrow that'd been aimed at the back of his head. "You know about the blinds pot of the eyes of a deity... how did that come to pass I wonder."
A man stood at the helm of the ship with a black bow and seal on his right wrist to summon arrows. He had blonde hair, brown eyes, and white armor with red accents.
The man cursed and faster than what should be possible, he unleashed a torrent of arrows that Jaisake nimbly dodged or slapped away with his palms.
The man cursed when his supply of arrows ran low and he used a seal on his other hand to summon a pair of curved short swords. He charged at the man, knowing he didn't stand a chance but not caring as most of his friends were dead or too scared to fight.
He fought hard, slashing, throwing kicks, even tried surprising Jaisake by throwing a blade at him at point blank range. Nothing worked, or even seemed to face the confident fighter with byakugan eyes.
Jaisake delivered a fast set of jabs to the man's chest and watched as he sank to his knees, unable to move. The man sighed and he smirked. "Guess it's my time, huh..."
Jaisake shook his head and aimed a hand at the bloody pile of meat, making the blood float from the corpse and into the air. "Nope, I like your spirit. I'm gonna change you with a blood seal my brother made."
"What's this seal gonna do to me?" The man asked, trying to get up but failing to even twitch.
Jaisake levitate the bit blood over to himself and dipped his thumbs into it, then placed his thumbs on the man. Right thumb between his eyes, left thumb over his heart. "Lots of things. Namely, make you less human." Then he pumped chakra into the blood and hundreds of seals appeared on the man's skin, covering nearly every inch of his body.
Jaisake stepped back. "This may sting a bit. I'm not as good as my older brother." Then he aimed a hand at the man and made the seals seep into the man's skin, making his eyes widen as he was filled with the feeling of hot irons touching his bones. The man's hair turned white and he promptly fainted.
