I walked up the steps dragging my suitcases with me. Its finally happening. I'm at the uni. I'm so excited. I pulled my stuff over to the reception. The woman looked up from her computer giving me a friendly smile.

"hello, what's your name?" she asked

"Destiny-Jane Scott" I smiled back. I love my name. My parents wanted to call mw Destiny. But my mum came home late one night and got shot and got taken to hospital and had to give birth to me immediately but she died. I never met her.

"ok, your room 3b4" she said giving my key card.

"thank you"

I took it out her hand and dragged my stuff up to the dorm building. I unlocked the door and a petit girl jumped up in front of me, scaring me. I dropped my bags and almost fell backwards.

"sorry" she said.

"don't worry, so I guess we're room mates" I chuckled stating the obvious.

"I guess we are, huh" She giggled. She seems nice.

"I'm Marley" she grinned.

"Destiny-Jane" I returned the smile. She helped me get my stuff in and also helped me unpacked. My phone chimed. Playing my favourite piece of music from twilight. Only for you.

"hey gorgeous" My dad said.

"hey dad"

"you got everything unpacked?"

"almost"

"well, I put a gift in there for you"

"Dad! Why?!, you didn't have to"

"oh but I did" he chucked.

"hey that's my line, you cannot take that shit". as you can see my dad and I are close.

"oi language!, hope you enjoy it. I have to go now sorry. Love you"

"love you too"

I hung up and looked through my suitcase to find the gift.

"hey do you wanna come down for food with me later?" Marley asked.

"yeah sure, lemme just get something out a second." I said searching through the bag.

"ok I'll just braid my hair" she smiled. Marley is beautiful. She had light brown hair that fell down her back. She had light blue eyes and a gorgeous face. I wish I looked like her.

"why thank you" she smirked

"what?"

"you said that out loud" she smirked

"well that's just plain weird on my part but it was the truth" I smiled.

"no your pretty" she pouted. I laughed at her response. All my life I've been told by guys I'm not good enough or not pretty enough they said things like an ugly skank.

"shut up!" she snapped which took me back

"sorry, but your really pretty, you got lush blonde hair and gorgeous ocean blue eyes, who the fuck said you were ugly"

"guys from school" I shrugged

"well they're fucking blind" she giggled. I joined in with her giggling when I found my dads gift.

"awh that's lovely, who got you that?" Marley asked getting up to stand next to me.

"my dad" I ripped open the lovely wrapping paper. I carefully opened the box and found a necklace.

It was silver and had diamonds and the words 'Daddy's little Angel'.

"do you want me to put it on you?" Marley asked. I nodded. I was speechless. It was so cute and sweet.
