"Fuck Josh, it really fucking hurts!"

"Just stay still, I'm pulling it out."

"Hurry up and get it over with then! You're doing it so slowly!"

"GOT IT! Grab the antiseptic quick!"

Simon reached over the other side of his bed, just managing to grasp the antiseptic. He gave it to Josh, who dabbed some on a cotton ball and pressed it against the bleeding would.

"That fucking stings!" Simon winced.

"Well I guess you shouldn't have knocked over your glass then, be more careful next time for fucks sake. You're won't be able to play football for at least a few days with your foot like this."

"Yeah yeah, whatever dad," Simon whined. "How long do I have to sit here anyway?"

"I'm not sure, just leave it for another minute I guess." Josh replied. Wow, how very comforting.

-

That minute felt like the slowest of Simon's life. Whether that was because of the pain, or his constant whining, he wasn't sure, but it eventually passed.

"Alright, I'll leave it now." Josh finally said.

"Thank you so much bro, you're amazing." Simon grinned, happy and oh-so-relieved to finally be rid of that stupid antiseptic.

Simon could've sworn Josh's whole face lit up. He could've sworn that when he said "It was nothing mate." he was bursting with pride. And, he could most definitely have sworn Josh walked out of that room ten times happier than when he walked in. Funny how powerful a compliment is.

-Vik-

Josh had been acting really happy lately.

It was a good thing, of course it was. But it was unusual. Josh was usually the least happy one out of the Sidemen, which had always concerned Vik. But for the last few weeks, Josh had gained a massive spring in his step.

That, Vik supposed, was why he was lurking in Josh's room as he was busy patching Simon up. It was nosey and he knew it; he was originally just going to keep on editing, but his curiosity wasn't having any of it.

There had been nothing around his room that suggested anything had changed. There was only one more place to check. His phone. But that was going over the line. It was right there, though, daring him to unlock it. Nobody was there. He knew Josh's password.

Vik couldn't resist.

As soon as Vik unlocked the phone, he regretted it. But there was no going back. He couldn't unsee the Lotus homepage. Of all the things... Lotus?!

But why? What about Freya? Did they break up? worse, did they not? Did Josh actually swing that way? Wha-

"Oi, What are you doing on my phone?"

Vik jumped. He was caught red handed. Karma's a bitch.

"I... I was just checking to see if you had-"

"Don't even. Whatever shitty lie you've got up your sleeve, I don't wanna hear it. Out with the truth." Josh snapped stonily.

Vik sighed. It's not like this hole he'd dug himself could go any deeper. "To make a long story short, you've been acting more lively than usual lately, and I was wondering why. I know it was nosy and everything, but I looked in your room to try to find out. I'm sorry Josh, I really didn't intend to go on your phone, curiosity just got the better of me!"

Josh sat silently on the bed and made a long, deep sigh. "Well, now you do. It's whatever I guess, I couldn't hide this forever."

"Wait, just so we're clear, you're gay?" Vik asked, wide eyed.

Josh sat down on his bed and breathed a long, heavy sigh. "I'm bisexual, Vik. I've been debating coming out to the group for ages now, but I've been too nervous that one of them would think it was weird. Wait, you don't do you?"

Vik hesitated for a long moment.

"Right. I get the message" Josh mumbled. Vik jolted and started frantically chirping his support.

"What? No no no I didn't mean I don't support you, I do! It's just a lot to comprehend, is all!"

"So you mean... You're fine with it?" Josh asked, hope sparking a flare in his emerald eyes.

"Absolutely! Your one of my best mates, how could I possibly not be?" Vik said. And he meant it. Josh shot him a wide, friendly grin.

"You have no idea how much of a fucking relief that is, Vik. I've been worried over coming out for ages."

"Why, though? None of the guys are homophobic, are they?"

Josh cleared his throat. "Not that I've heard, but you never know. Besides, I don't want anything to be awkward between any of us." He admitted.

"I guess that's true, but I'm sure they'll all be fine with it. They're your friends, after all. Come out when your ready Josh."

Josh smiled. "Thanks Vik. Tobi knows, he has since we were in year ten, actually. He's never told anyone else, though."

"Awesome." Vik smiled, but that smile was quickly turned upside down as a previous thought surfaced." "Wait a second."

"What's up?"

"What about Freya?! Your looking for a boyfriend or whatever on Lotus without telling her?" Josh burst into laughter. "It's not funny man!" Vik protested.

"It so fucking is though! Freya and I broke up weeks ago!" He giggled, and Vik sighed with relief.

"Thank fuck for that, so how come you broke up? You guys were always so close, and she's a lovely girl." He asked.

"To be honest, we both just agreed the spark was gone after so long. Besides, she knew I had my eyes on someone else, and it was driving me insane. That's why she ended it, said I should ask them out."

"Then how come you're on Lotus? Chickened out?" Vik asked mischievously.

"I guess you could say that..." Josh groaned and leaned back on the bed. "He's straight as shit, there's no way I'd ever have a shot."

"I see. One more thing then." Vik felt a smirk tug at his face.

"What?"

"Can I have just one guess at who this guy is?"

"I guess..."

"You have to promise me that if I get it right you'll tell me, no lying." Vik was all out grinning now.

"I'm a horrible liar anyway, sure." Josh agreed, albeit reluctantly.

"Is it Simon?"

"...Maybe."

And with that, Vik couldn't contain his giggle any longer. Holy shit, Minizerk is so real!

I'm pretty damn proud of this chapter. Do you guys mind the point of view change? I won't use it all the time, only when I need to for the plot or something.
