If you sit in one place for long enough, with only your thoughts, you may learn something about yourself, or the people around you. Now, I want you to close your eyes, cover them, make sure no light is able to get though... Imagine living your life in that utter, complete darkness, enveloped in it, forever, hearing, feeling, speaking, but never seeing. This is how Valkyrie Rider lived her life, never knowing color, or light, never to make sense of the way you or I see the world. She could hear, smell, and feel more though, and in a way, she could see, her hearing had developed as to the point that she could hear sound bouncing off objects, like a bat. She could feel heat coming off people, and hear their heartbeats. She would have random headaches, which were worse than migraines, along with a horrible case of heartburn, but after, her hearing, or another sense, hightened even more. She was monitored by the Justice League, to make sure she wouldn't turn out to be a threat.
