In the beginning death was cold. It felt as though there was ice surging through my veins. I welcomed the numbness that made the searing pain fade. I don’t know how long I relished in the coldness of my body but soon I begun to feel warmth again.
No. It wasn’t just warm. The scorching pain had arisen in my body again. It was like being stabbed by fiery knives over and over. I wanted to scream but I couldn’t feel anything except for the burning sensation flowing in my body. I had arrived in hell.
Everything was black. The ice and fire had left me completely. Maybe I had left me. I didn’t know what had happened. I couldn’t feel my body anymore. Had my soul left my body? I don’t know. All I could do was wait. What I was waiting for, I had no clue but I couldn’t escape the void. There was nowhere to hide.
