I lay there under the moonlight like a helpless animal captured by its predator. I couldn’t fight back so I stared at the moon as tears dripped down my bruised cheeks. The pain was overwhelming and as I stared at the stars, I felt my life slowly slipping away.

He attacked me repeatedly and it felt as though my body were on fire. His piercing green eyes were unrelenting as he bit the skin over my heart. The venom was overpowering as it slowly took over my body. Still, I couldn’t fight back and all I could do was stare, mesmerized at the hunter that had trapped me.

The moon’s white glow began to weaken as my consciousness slowly faded. Everything was starting to disappear and the last thing I saw before I surrendered into the darkness were his eyes. I became a prisoner to those brilliant emerald eyes.
