( ~*This chapter is from Sans' POV*~)

I have been sitting in Grillby's ever since my brother got upset with the fact that I hurt the human. The way my brother reacted was something I have never seen before... The human must have been really important to him for some odd reason, I honestly can't put my finger on it... Whatever.

I ran fast out from the house. The snow was crunching under my feet. I suddenly felt sleepy, but decided that for once sleep could wait. I won't allow Paps to beat me up again. I learned from the first time. I accidentally broke one of his action figures. I wasn't able to heal in months... I am not scared of him, but I won't risk my own health.

I flung the door to Grillby's open panting like I had ran a marathon. I placed my hand on my chest and tried to calm down. The other monsters stared at me angrily. I made my eye glow in red which caused them to continue whatever they were doing. I walked to the front desk and sat on my bar chair that I have been sitting for many years.

Grilb's walked over to me. The fire guy was my best friend and he was really cool too. Heh.. Get it? He is a fire dude and I just called him cool? Heh...

"Rough day, eh Sans?" Grillby leaned over the counter to me adjusting his eyeglasses.

"don't even ask..." I sighed as I rubbed the back of my skull. "bring me the usual... i need a drink...."

Grillby nodded as he went to get my order. I managed to pull myself together before I looked over my shoulder. Three bruised up dogs entered the bar. They must have been the ones my brother and the human beat up earlier. They seemed to do quite a number on those bastards. Impressive, my bro sure knows how to make monsters hurt.

"Everybody listen up!" The leader one barked angrily. "There is a human in the underground! The final one we need to be free!!"

The monsters gasped loudly as they talked to each other. Human? We are finally free! Let's go find it already so we can kill it an be free! FREEDOM IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!!!

I turned 180 degrees to face the dogs. "oh please... there has been no humans in decades..." I chuckled. "look at the size of that bruise of yours that's on your head, little doggy... you must have dreamt the whole thing. someone decided to beat you up for giving false information every single week for years..."

The monsters looked suspiciously at these stupid dogs, he and his partners lost his believability in the matter of seconds. Sans and Papyrus do patrol in the forest better than those dogs, they must have used makeup and everything to make us fall for it again!!

I made my hand glow in red and therew the dogs outside. The monsters laughed at the dogs as Grillby handed me my mustard.

"I am impressed Sans. Usually you just run to your brother to inform of a possible human sighting.."

"no need this time grillbs. i knew from his expression that he was lying. heh..." I took a sip from the mustard. I didn't want to ruin Papyrus' chances bringing the human to Asgore.

"Ah, I see. But there is another thing. Your tab.. You really need to pay up.. Sorry Sans but I need the money to keep this business running..." He looked at me like I was his son who behaved badly.

"no need to sweat it... I got your gold right here..." I put a medium sized bag of gold on his counter.

"Did you steal this from Papyrus again?" Grillby looked at me suspiciously as he took the gold slowly and opened the bag.

"hey at least you got your gold. don't worry where I got it, 'kay?

Grillby sighed and put the gold behind his counter without further questions. Of course I stole it from Papyrus! I am broke as fuck!

~Time skip brought to you by the annoying dog!~

Everything is so blurry and unclear. I hiccup softly as I stare at least ten empty mustard bottles in front of me. They remind me of a big yellow blob.

"Alright Sans. I'm closing for tonight... You should head home." Grillby cleaned the mustard bottles away.

"c-come on grillbz... just one more... b-bottle.." I murmur softly, trying to sound as sober as possible.

"I think you had one too many Sans. Go home." Grillby crossed his arms.

"well fuck you too man... you could have stopped me at any time b-buddy!" I hop down from my chair. God I feel dizzy... I try my best to make it to the front door. My feet are shaking and every step feels like I'm dipping my leg to something extremely sticky. Luckily the other monsters had left hours ago, Papyrus would kill me if I ruin our reputation... Again.

I swung the front door open and got pushed back slightly by the icy wind. It was snowing hard and the flakes felt like sharp knives against my skull. My vision is still blurry as I head to the snowy storm. I hug myself as I keep walking forward. I feel so cold... The snow looks so soft, like my bed with less trash in it. I trip on something and hit the cold snow face first. I closed my eyes and curled up into a ball.

It's so cold...
