A 'WARM' WELCOME

Students were walking into VHW, when all of the sudden the sound of a motorbike running got their attention and a bike came speeding through the gate entrance to a skidded halt at the door of the school. Mason parked his bike, took his bag and walked towards the doors but when he opened them immediately he got the scent of death with a little bit of vanilla, they were blending in with the humans, he stayed calm not showing any sign of discomfort as he walk towards the door of the principles office. Just as he was about to open the door, it was pulled violently and there stood a 6'5ft, blonde hair boy looking at him and Mason moved just in time when the boy tried to shove him. He then heard the principle said

"Come in"

Mason could sense that the boy is a vampire, he smiled as he went inside the office and closed the door behind him, the principle looked up at him and told him to sit down, once he sat down the principle looked at his files and said "I see that you have being kicked out of a LOT of schools but lucky for you that I could change all that" Mason nodded and walked with the principle. As they were walking in the corridors, the principle explained about the school, Mason could feel that someone is trying to read his mind but he smiled as he quickly blocked the person and sent an image of someone's locker being open and that the person hit its head in it. Suddenly a voice said

"What the fuck"

The principle turned around and said "Mr Kill, there is no cursing in my school" Mason heard someone walking towards them, a boys voice said "sorry principle" and he could feel the boy looking down at him, he thought 'I hate being short' as he looked up at the boy. The principal look at the boy and said nicely "this is Mason Black, his our new students to this school, be nice to him" Mason felt the boys arm wrap around him and the boy said

"I am always nice"

The principal laughed and told Mason to follow her. Mason grabbed the boys hand and moved it away from him, the boy watch the new kid walk away, he rub his head where the bruise is fading and thought 'how did that locker open by itself' as he walked towards his class. After taking the tour inside the school, Mason followed the principle outside the door onto the campus, he saw the sports area, students were running around the fields jumping over the fence, firing arrows at hay. The principle stopped outside another building and he said "this is where you'll be staying, you belongings are already up in your room" he handed Mason his keys and said "you'll be sharing a room with one of the mature students" Mason nodded and the principle walked into the building and they walked towards Mason's room. As they stopped outside the room no 666, Mason laughed at that but the principle looked at him confused but opened the door and there stood the same boy that Mason saw coming out of the office. The boy looked at him and said

"What did I just told you, I am not having a roommate"

Mason could get another scent but it wasn't any that he knows of, the principle looked at him and said "too bad, you have one" and Mason was pushed into the room and the principle told him to enjoy his stay at the school. Mason watch as the boy closed the door. He went towards his belongings and began to put his stuff away. The boy just lay down on his bed looking up at the ceiling, everything was quiet but not a awkward silence. Mason jumped when he heard a bell ring, he watch as the boy got up off the bed and said "well, I am better go" and he walked out of the room.

Mason made sure that he have everything is put away, he decides that he should get going before he gets yelled at on his first day of school. When he got out of the room, Mason pulled his hood up and began to walk to his first class, just as he was about to reach the classroom someone grabbed him from behind and pulled into a empty hall. He then felt pain in his ribs, it felt like something is digging into his ribs, and then he fell to the ground immediately he felt being kicked until they were finished him, he could see a boy just leaning against a locker looking at him, it wasn't a human or a vampire but a strange scent was coming from him. Then when Mason felt the group stop, the boy walked towards the bleeding Mason, he watch as the boy kneeled down in front of him and he heard the boy said "we just give you a warm welcome" and then he was knocked out.

A few minutes in the darkness, Mason opened his eyes feeling pain all over his body, he slowly got up trying to forget the pain that he is in and began to walk back to the campus not caring if people were looking at him. Once he arrived into the building, a shadow came over him and he heard a familiar voice said "what the hell happen to you" and he looked up and there stood his roommate.
