INVITATION

Mason was sitting down in the church, it was the long weekend making him available to go to his aunts funeral, he sat down at the back of the church and watch as her coffin was put into front of the priest, he could hear her aunts friends and family crying over the lose of a good friend and good mother. He notices a shadow standing over him and he said quietly

"Glad you can make it, Samuel"

His friend sat down beside him, he got out some flowers and said quietly "I got these for your aunt" Mason nodded his thanks and they stay quiet as the priest talked. After the mass, Mason went to lift the coffin up with his cousins, Samuel was standing with the crowd as he watch the coffin being lowered down to the grave, Mason moved back to let the priest bless her grave and watch as the family and friends throw red roses onto her grave before walking away to go to one of her friends house. Once the grave was covered, Samuel watch as Mason walked over to her grave and kneeled down, he place his hand on the picture of his aunt and whispered

"Thank you for what you did for me, you have giving me some many chances when I was a kid, you are the great aunt that anyone could have had, I'll visit your grave as much as I can, you wouldn't be forgotten"

Samuel saw a tear landing on the ground, he place his hand on his shoulder comforting him, Mason almost forgot that he was still there and he place his hand on his as he said "my friend also got you some flowers" Samuel places the flowers in front of the gravestone and Mason got but slowly as he still have to recover from the other day. Samuel followed Mason out of the church when he saw a boy walking up to Mason, he could see that Mason knows him and he watch as the boy hugged him. He was crying, Mason slowly pat the boy on the back and the boy said

"I thought you wouldn't becoming"

Mason nodded and he said "let's get going" Samuel watch as he pushed the boy away from them, Samuel quickly followed him away from the boy, he then said "hey, who was that" Mason didn't bother to answer as they keep walking until they came across a forest. Samuel was distracted by the beauty of their surroundings but Mason looked around until he saw the bog, the same bog that he had watch his parents die. Samuel watch as Mason walked towards the edge of the bog where he saw two headstones beside each other but before he could say anything, Mason said

"this is where my parents died"

They both sat down on the ground, looking at the forest, watching as the clouds go by but all of the sudden, it began to rain.

During the long weekend, Eric was practising fighting with his friends, Rex was relaxing in the sun, tanning up his muscles and then he said "I wonder what Mason is up to" Eric flipped one of his friend over and said "why did you ask that?" Rex looked up at him and said "well, that Brock fella did told us that Mason is a weird guy" Eric nodded and then he saw his father coming out of the house. He then saw his mother breathing deeply, he ran over to them but his father said "Eric, I need you to keep an eye on the house while we are gone" Eric nodded and he watch as they drove away to the hospital. Once he was distracted, his friends went for him but he jumped into the air landed on the windowsill of the top floor, he looked down at his friends and said

"better luck next time"

Then suddenly someone tackled him off the windowsill and onto the grass, he spits out some grass and he heard Rex said "always expect the unexpected" and he jumped off the windowsill and walked over to help Eric up and then he notices a person behind him and he growled. Eric turned and froze when he saw a vampire standing in front of them, the group went on their attacking mode but the vampire put its hand up to stop them and it spoke

"I am not here to have a fight but to talk to you leader"

Eric nodded to his group to step back as he said "and what is it that you would like to talk about" the vampire nodded and said "I would like you to talk to this so called Brock, that he is not wanted around our border" Eric was confused and Rex said "Brock wouldn't be going into your border unless there is a killer there" and everyone saw the shock face on the vampire and it was gone like a flash.

Eric smirked and then tackled Rex, and everyone went back to practising until it began to rain. Everyone ran into the house to keep warm, Eric and his group went into the sitting room to watch some tv and play on the playstation.

Suddenly there was a sound of lighten, Eric looked at the window and everyone jumped when the sound of the house phone ringing and Rex raced to answer it and he said

"hello, this is the McRich family, what can I do for you"

Eric saw him smile and he told the person on the other hand that he'll tell everyone the news. He looked at Eric and said

"your mother gave birth to a healthly baby girl"

Eric smiled and he ran to the kitchen shouting "lets have a party to celebrate, call everyone too!" Rex nodded and everyone went to call their friends.

Mason and Samuel ran for shelter, they stopped under a bus stop, Mason could see that his friend is shaking with the cold coming from the rain, he took off his jacket and put it over his shoulder and he heard him say thanks. As they were standing out of the rain, Mason felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, he looked at his phone, someone has his number inviting him to aparty, Samuel watch as he just put his phone back into his pocket and he said "hey, maybe we should go" Mason looked at him and he walked away in the rain but Samuel grabbed his arm and said

"come on, my house is not far from here"

Mason didn't really want to go but sadly Samuel was already pulling him towards a neighbourhood, Brock was watching them from on the roof of a building and he could see a tattoo on the human wrist as it pulls Mason away. Brock took a picture of the tattoo and was about to leave when all of the sudden, three vampires came in front of him. He leans back onto the edge of the building as he said

"what can I do for you vampires"

One of them took a step forward as it spoke bluntly "we all would like if you get out of our territory now" Brock only smirk at its threat as he said "I thought you want to find the killer" the vampires nodded but they still told him to get out. He looked around and saw Mason going into the humans house, he then said "I have to go any ways, you creatures are boring me" with that he flipped over the wall and the vampires watch as he landed on his feet after falling 6 stores high.

Once Mason was inside the house, he saw a lot of pictures of Samuel's family and he then followed him upstairs to his room. When they reach his room, Samuel went into the closest and brought out towels and handed one to him and he walked back inside to get some clothes, Mason took off his suit jacket and left it on on the bottom of Samuel's bed, then he saw him coming out of the closest with some clothes and he said

"I think these could fit you"

Mason nodded and walked into the bathroom to get change, Samuel could see that his friend isn't going to enjoy the party but he'll make sure that he will enjoy it. As he was waiting downstairs, his mother was coming out of the kitchen and she said "honey, where are you and your friend going" Samuel explains what they are going to be at until Mason came downstairs, Samuel's mother blushed as she could see the muscles on his body and she quickly walked back into the kitchen, Mason put on his sleeveless jacket and said emotionlessly

"Let's get this over with"

He saw a smile coming on Samuel's face as they walked out of the house to the car and drove to the party.
