"What are these parties like?" I asked as looked into the mirror, watching as Sunhi curled the last couple pieces of my hair.

She set the curler down and proceeded the plug in the straightener for her own hair, "It's different to say the least. I mean all of the people you thought would be as good as the tabloids make them out to seem, live a very very different life. Just don't be too shocked when you walk in,"

I raised an eyebrow at her words, nervous for what I might see at the party. Moving away from the vanity in Sunhi's room, I proceeded to put on my outfit that I bought earlier that day.

Putting on the grey long sleeve top, I pulled on my light denim shorts, threading the belt through the loops as Sunhi did the finishing touches on her makeup.

Once I was done I put on my heeled boots as Sunhi put in her earrings before sliding her phone into her back pocket, "Let's head downstairs,"

I nodded, following her downstairs my eyes looking as we walked to see the boys ready and chatting amongst themselves in the foyer.

The sound of our heels bringing them out of the conversation, Hoseok's attention moving from Taehyung to me, a smirk moving to his lips as his eyes moved across my body.

Jimin did a little wolf whistle which had Sunhi beet red as she pressed her lips to his, as I moved towards Hoseok a smile on my lips.

I couldn't deny that he looked good, his shaggy black hair pushed back from his forehead, and his attire all black, contrasting against his tanned skin.

"I better keep my eyes on you tonight," Hoseok said and I quirked an eyebrow at him, causing his rub the back of his neck as he found an excuse, "I mean, with all the men that will be there tonight, you have to stay alert,"

I gave him a knowing nod and let out a small laugh, "I can hold my own, don't worry,"

"Let's get going then," Taehyung said as he jingled his car keys, and we all nodded, moving out to the car and began on the road.

The drive which felt endless yesterday, flew by on the drive tonight.

Soon we were in the elevator and heading to the top floor, ready to engage with the top class of society. Well, of the corrupt society.

My eyes going wide as we entered the room. The room which seemed too large when we first visited Jiyong, now seemed tiny with the mass of people inside.

Recognizing many public figures, I took in my surroundings. Bottle girls dressed in skimpy outfits catered to the guests as the men in the room talked amongst themselves as music completed the atmosphere.

My eyes catching Jiyongs as he made he was towards us with a smile, "So happy you finally showed up," he said with a grin, and then nodded towards me, "Especially you babe,"

I bit my tongue, and pushed a smile. Jiyong stifling a laugh and taking a sip of his drink before speaking to Hoseok, "I got an old friend who you will be happy to see,"

Hoseok raised an eyebrow, and Jiyong only nodded towards another room, Hoseok taking my hand and pulling me along with him, so that I was not alone in the room.

We made it out of the crowded area and into a bedroom off of the living room, a man dress in a black jacket looked out the large window which held the view of the city below.

He turned around and I fought back a gasp, "Kim Seokjin, long time no see,"
Hoseok said as he releases my hand, going to shake hands with the man.

My eyes staying trained on the two men as they spoke. My braid racking through all of the facts I had known since I began at the station.

Now known to me that Detective Kim Seokjin was apart of the ring. I had grown up with him, an older brother figure who I trusted like my own blood brother.

My mind racing to find a reason why he was associated with them, a reason that would make me feel at ease, rather than face the reality that he was truly working with Hoseok.

"This is Park Jina,"

I was brought out of my thoughts by Hoseok's voice, and I pushed a smile, shaking Seokjin's hand as it was in front of me.

My mind coming to realize that he wasn't present when we had discussed the undercover mission, he did not know it was the captains daughter shaking his hand, and the sister of his closest friend.

I soon excused myself from the room, claiming I had to go to the bathroom, but my body brought me to the bar instead.

Soon taking down a couple drinks and finding myself on the couch besides Sunhi as she watched her boyfriend chat amongst the clients.

"Are you okay?" Sunhi asked as she nursed the glass of champagne in her hands.

I shrugged, "I don't know, something about the man Hoseok met isn't settling with me." my eyes scanning the room before they settled on Hoseok, turning away before he saw my gaze, "But then again, who am I to judge,"

She nodded and patted my shoulder, "As a girlfriend you always get antsy which each client they meet, but it's something you get used to,"

"But Sunhi, i'm not his girl-," I tried to protest.

But she only placed a finger to my lips, "We'll see about that," then tapped her nose, knowingly, "Sunhi always knows,"

I shook my head and let out a laugh, hoping her drunken words would be forgotten in the morning.

Soon the party had winded down and we were on our way back. Taehyung bringing the car to a stop in front of my building, and I got out, walking up the steps before opening the door and stepping inside.

My hands immediately moving to dial Yoongi's number, chewing on my lip as it rang repeatedly, a quiet hello answered.

"I woke you up, i'm sorry Yoongi," I said as I shed my shirt and shorts before sliding on a large t-shirt.

"It's fine Lil, really," I heard him yawn, "Did something happen?"

"Yoongi, Seokjin is in the ring," I said calmly, and was met with a laugh.

"Are you being serious?" He asked, and I ran my fingers through my hair, "Never more serious in my life,"

He paused and then spoke, "Tell me everything,"

And that I did. From the days before tonight, and to Hoseok's meeting with Seokjin, as well as information on "the dragon".

"Yoongi, I think Seokjin is the reason why we can't find the missing documents," I said as i went through the files on my laptop, "Sunhi is just a face in the operation, Seokjin is the one who paid for bail, the reason they got out, and the reason some evidence seemed to be missing,"

Yoongi steadied his breathing on the other line as I babbled on, "Its a perfect setup Yoongi. No one would suspect a field detective of a gang task unit to work within a gang, or any affiliation like that. It's the perfect scenario for him, and he thought no one would figure it out."

When I finished a few moments passed, he finally spoke up, "Are you certain Lily. If we pursue the investigation on him and we're wrong, it's going to backfire and they'll find you,"

I let out a breath and nodded, "I've never been so sure Yoongi, remember I'm smart about things like this,"

"I know you are," he sighed, "I'll talk to you tomorrow,"

"Okay, goodnight Yoongi,"

"Goodnight Lily,"

With that I closed my laptop and turned off my phone, snuggling into my bedsheets and praying that everything would work out in my favor, and that Hoseok and his gang would get what they deserved.
