Rolling on the bed, my eyes struggled to open. My hands moving to rub my face as I began to wake, my body quickly shooting up when I realized last nights events.
My eyes scanning the floor, seeing my clothes scattered amongst the room and my body only now covered by the plush white comforter.
I knew I had literally just slept with the enemy.
I let out a groan and silently cursed myself for letting him have that affect over me. My mind taken back from those thoughts as I heard yelling erupt from downstairs, my eyebrow raising before I quickly dressed and walked out of the room, and then down the stairs.
Soon spotting Hoseok on the phone as he paced in the kitchen, "You can't be serious, how would anyone even think of bringing him in? He was low profile,"
My eyes going wide, Yoongi had actually brought in Seokjin and Hoseok now knows.
I took a deep breath before walking into the kitchen, Hoseoks eyes hitting mine and he gave an apologetic smile before giving an order before hanging up.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up babe," Hoseok said with an apologetic smile before moving to press a kiss to my cheek.
I smiled and played dumb, "What happened?"
Hoseok ran a hand through his dark locks and let out a sigh, "Seokjin has been brought in for questioning. I don't know how they would've gotten a lead like this, but by the tape from yesterday of Jaebum saying he would involve the police, he knew Seokjin was a better target, because he knows everything. He's the reason the boys and I are out early,"
Hoseok thought Jaebum went for his "Achilles heel" that was Seokjin, but it was me. I caught myself wanting to apologize but I knew I was so close to my mission ending I couldn't risk the fact.
Trying to bring the subject away from the topic, I asked where the others were and was told that they had left for a pickup in Hongdae, a good four hour drive away.
"Do you want breakfast?" Hoseoks question brought me out of my thoughts and I nodded before moving into the kitchen behind him and settling myself on a barstool across the counter from him.
I could see a different side of Hoseok as we talked together in the small room. I could see a little boy who was brought into this other world by his father. His fathers death by another gang bringing him to take over and issue a new order to the group, his message clear.
Stay loyal, he'll help you accomplish anything. Betray him, you won't see another day.
As I sipped on my coffee I found out I was the only lucky one that has survived a shot from V. Like he said before he's definitely not afraid to shoot and I never doubted that for a second.
The whole day seemed filled with memories of his past and him occasionally asking about mine, which I told truthfully only making sure to strike and mentions of the force from them.
"So you can say you've had a interesting life," he said with a smile as we sat on the couch across from each other, his left arm draped around the back of the couch as he leaned his body against it. The room now dimly lit as the sky outside turned dark.
I nodded, "It's been a roller coaster to say the least, but definitely worth it,"
My phone lit up on the coffee table and I saw "Mina" flash across the screen, alerting a text message.
Picking up the phone I opened it to see the text,
Coming home tonight
I sent back okay and then turned back to Hoseok with a smile, and he didn't even ask who texted.
He held his hand out and I took it as he smiled and pulled me into his lap, his lips finding mine as I settled.
My time with Hoseok had softened my heart, I felt like I no longer had to play the role of liking him like I did when I was undercover. It felt natural, it was just the circumstances which seemed unnatural at the moment.
His hands, pulling at my shirt had it off in a quick second and were spanning my torso. Fingers feeling each groove of my body as our lips melted together.
Both of us so absorbed in the moment we didn't hear the echo of sirens and see the lights flood through the windows.
The front door swinging open, revealing Yoongi had me in both relief and regret.
"What's going on," Hoseok asked as he was brought to his feet by Jungkook before being handcuffed.
"You're under arrest for embezzlement, drug possession, distribution, and accessory to multiple murders," Yoongi said in one breath and then spoke, "there's more but you'll hear all about them at the precinct, take him to the car jungkook,"
Yoongi moved towards me and tried to touch me and Hoseok pulled forward from Jungkook, "She did nothing wrong, please don't take her in,"
Yoongi gave a curt nod and Hoseok was led out of the house. Feeling my chest become heavy as I sat down on the couch, finding my shirt before slipping it on.
"You were sleeping with him," Yoongi stated, already knowing the answer and let out a dull laugh, "He played you, you said you would do this without getting involved in him,"
He seemed to yammer on and I stood up pointing my finger at him, "You're saying I've been played? That's hypocritical. When in fact the last mission you did you ended up falling and dealing for the girl, the only reason charges dropped were because you were a cop so don't even try to reprimand me for this,"
With that I moved out of the house, and down the front steps. Seeing that Hoseok was already gone i sought out the next person I would want to see more than my brother.
My eyes landing on Namjoon who welcomed me with open arms, "You did good kid,"
I shook my head but kept quiet for a moment before speaking, "Can I ride with you to the station, I just need to talk it out,"
He nodded and opened the passenger door for me before shutting in and stepping into his side.
"Okay spill Lily," Namjoon said and I did.
Telling him everything that had happened since I started the mission a week ago, from my first encounter with him to the talk I had with Hoseok only hours ago about his family. I told him about how Seokjin was working against us the whole time.
"I had different intent when I went into the mission Namjoon. But Hoseok his actions are only a reflex from his fathers death. V, Jimin, Sunhi they're all like his father to him, he doesn't want to lose them so he protects them in ways that only seem violent to others but he sees necessary," I said solemnly, "He looks at me the way he looked at Lily, he has a heart Namjoon and I need to help him,"
Namjoon just remained quiet for a few moments before speaking, "You have always had a good moral compass so I'm asking this, do you truly believe that his actions can be justified,"
"I do,"
"Then, nows your chance to plead his case," Namjoon said as he put his car in park infront of the precinct.
I went into this mission wanting Hoseok locked up for good but now I want him to be able to live a life without fear and with me.
