Kalilas POV

I woke up so early today so I could do my daily routine earlier than normal. My whole routine had been tampered with me having to go to the human world.
I had packed a shoulder bag full of stuff that I would need in the human world. My bag was made of leaves but to the human eye it would look like fabric.

In my bag I had: my fairy light (its a sprites form of torches), a packed lunch, a bottle of water from the waterfall, a pair of shoes and clothes (that change to suit the human style of my choice) and finally a magic bag that contains my magic items.

"I think I'm ready..." I say closing my kitchen cabinets.

"Not entirely Kalila, you forgot one thing"

"Mother! I thought you were busy with the council!" I say running over to her. She embraces me with a hug.

My mother is the village leader. She is head of the council and I'm her daughter. I'm apparently the forests next leader but it feels more like I'm it's entertainment!

"When I went to speak with your grandmother she told what was happening... Are you sure about this?"

"Mother I have been wanting an adventure like this for years!" I say looking at her... She was about to reply when...

"Everest! We need to discuss the forest animals village issues" her adviser Jasmine came in.

"*sigh* alright... I'm coming. And as for you Kalila... Be safe and don't let the humans know what you are. I love you..." And my Mother left.

What would it have been like if mother didn't have to go? What would she have said to me?

I shake of the thought and grab my bag. I throw it over my shoulder and walk to the door...

"Lets start this adventure!" I say jumping out the door. But this time I don't try to land of the other side... I begin to fall to the ground.

I fall until I can reach a vine. Grabbing the vine I swing onto another platform... As it lowers to the ground slowly.

"You seem pretty happy today... What's happened Kalila?" A lady says as her daughter walks over to me. She tugs on my dress asking for attention.

"Are you going to be the forest sprite that is going to save our world?" Her eyes glowed with wonder as I went to reply

"Yes, that is me. I promise to bring you a teddy bear back from the human world Ellie" I say happier than ever. She is my little sweetheart. I have babysited her for years.

"Really? That's awfully kind of you Kalila..." Her mother Ro said looking at me concerned

"I would love a teddy bear..." Ellie says going over to her mum happily.

The platform stopped at the bottom of the trees and we jump off.

"Okay I'll be there until late so I might not be able to see you for a little while. So bye!"

"Bye Lila!" She says grabbing her mother's hand and skipping off to the lake for her swimming lesson.

I continue through the forest for a good 2 hours until I hear laughter. It was two voices. One male one female. Both were very much against the idea of me going to the humans.

"So she's the one?"

"Yea... I told you that I had never been wrong before"

"Well that's a lie Tamal ..."

"Shut up Fia"

I stopped so they couldn't hear me moving. I jumpped up reaching for a tree branch and pull myself up. I wait till they leave.

"Wait... Where did she go?!" The male voice... Tamal I assume spoke.

"What? She's gone already?"

"Yes and it's because you distracted me!" He came into my view and I couldn't believe it.

"Dark sprites!" I whisper to myself

"Why is it my fault!?" Fia said no stepping into view.

Tamal was dark Haired and tall. Which was strange because most sprites have to use a spell to be taller than Their average height.

I'm only about 5.2 foot tall myself...

He was also very fair skinned. Mostly because dark sprites live underground in the caverns. He wore human dark clothes and shoes.

And around his neck was a chain of black magic.

Fia had strawberry blonde hair and cherry red lips. Her skin also fiat and she wore black and pastel red clothes.

She would have been roughly my height. Her necklace held a vial of black magic as well...

I didn't realize until it was to late that I hadn't been paying attention to what they were doing...

"Hi there..."

"Arh!" I fell from the tree only catch in onto a branch at the last second "ouch" I moaned unhappily.

"Seems kitties do land on there feet..." I open my eyes as I hang upside down off the branch to see Tamal standing only a metre away from me...

"Oh cranberries..." I say swinging up onto the branch to sit.

"Wow... She's a pretty one for sure" Fia said walking over to me... She seemed kind but I didn't want to be to careless. "I mean look at her hair... It's so shiny and soft"

"I... I don't think you should be saying such caring things Fia... Father wouldn't approve" Tamal says this time keeping his eyes on me.

"Come on her isn't going to hear this..." She says giggling like a little child "so go on... Say what you think about her! Looks wise of course"

"Well... She is very... Gah! Come on we don't have time to just talk about her we need to be sure that we follow our orders" Tamal seemed flustered...

"Your so boring Tamal... Fine" Fia said walking over to the trees. She climbed onto my branch and smiled at me.

The branch shook as Tamal joined us on my other side. He leaned on the trees trunk...

"So... Kalila. Let's have some fun..." He spoke with a maniacal voice... But something about it sounded, different from other dark sprites voices.

"Um..."

"I suggest that you start running. He's really fast..." She says looking at Tamal who smiled with an evil look flying straight from him to me...

"Sugar..." I say jumping from the branches and running as fast as possible...

"Ok there your head start kitty... Now I'm coming!" I hear Tamal shout...
