Kalilas POV
I followed Tamal all the way to the forest gates. One to my home... The other Tamals...
In other words to the dark forest or the forest of my home.
"Tamal your a genius!" Fia laughed... "He's a perfect groom for me!"
"Your not going to be getting married in your life. And besides he's what is keeping Kalila where I want her..." Tamal said punching Fia in the side. She winces in pain.
"Ouch... And what ever!" She said the black forest.
I stopped hesitantly as Tamal follows. But he turns around to face me. David still being held captive by him.
"I suggest you follow Kalila... Or I will have to feed him to the black magic of the river..." Tamal says smiling at me... But I didn't move.
"I will follow on one condition..." I say jumping in a tree.
"Which is?"
"Ooh! Another chase?" Fia asks me excitedly.
"Exactly... As long a he can catch me" I say... I knew he was faster than me but I know how to navigate through my surroundings better. I hoped anyway.
"What about him?" Tamal says shaking David slightly.
"Hmm!" David tried to speak but the words only muffled through Tamals hand.
"He isn't apart of this... And besides... The black river only accepts sprites like us..." I say
Tamal took the time to consider what I had said...
"Fine... But if I catch you again. I ain't releasing you..." He said that carefully. So Fia wouldn't know about earlier.
"Deal..." I say walking along the branch. Tamal was smiling again. It was almost enought to... Make me smile back. But why.
Tamal released David who began gasping for air. Tamal must have been holding him very strongly.
"What is... Going on...?" David gasped. Watching as I changed my outfit to my everyday style. I hung upside down off the branch to speak with him.
"I'm not a human... I'm the forest sprite. And Tamal is a dark sprites." I say watching where Tamal was cautiously.
"Well... She definitely not a dumb sprite" Tamal said jumping forward to grab me. But I swang back up to the branch.
"Haha! Your not wrong about that..." I say jumping down and over to David who stepped back from me.
"All this time... I thought about there being magic in these forests. And I was right!" He said looking at me. His face was so bright with joy.
"Yea yea now run along... That goes for both of you Kalila. And Fia I need to do this myself. So can you go and wait at the end of the path..."
"Oh... Well sure" she says turning and walking away "it was like I wanted to watch or anything..."
"Okay Kalila... No head start this time" Tamal said started to get closer...
"Ha..." I say jumping back as he reached for my shirt "who ever said I needed one?"
I began to run again.
Once again his footsteps close behind me. When k heard them get to close I jumped in a tree. This repeated for some time before I slipped into a Bush.
As tamals footsteps stopped less than a metre away from me I watched carefully as he searched the trees.
"Where is she?" He spoke quietly.
He walked in a slow circles looking closely for me. I remained quite and still."She can't be far... Unless she used her magic..." He wasn't wrong about that "but then I would have felt the spells energy"
He sat down in defeat and gazed off into the forest blankly. He seemed to be shaking. His face turned pale and his hands were holding his shirt to stopped the shaking.
"Why do I feel so bad for you...?" He whispered to himself...
"What?" I didn't speak it aloud but I whispered to myself for I was now shaking too.
"I can't begin to describe the problem with this..." He looked off into the forest but then turned to me... Even thought he didn't know it.
My body frozen in shock... Our eyes unintentionally met with bitter sweet emotions from both of us.
"Why can't I just curse you or kill you and get it over with..." His face was now bright red with anger.
Before I knew what was happening... His magic burst out of his charm and lit all the plants on fire... Leaving me scrambling to escape.
The smoke was to thick for mem to see anything... I began to cough
Before I knew it I was falling to the ground...

Tamals POV
I heard the sound of coughing on my right. And I opened my eyes. My energy levels had raised to its extreme. And I had lit the forest on fire...
"Hello?" I shouted covering my mouth with my shirt "anyone there?"
But I heated no awnser. I went in the direction of which I had heard the coughing. Finally I saw it...
A girl collapsing on the ground... I rush forward barely making the catch.
Finally I could see the face. It was Kalila.
"So... You were here all along..." I said pushing a piece of hair behind her ears. Then I picked her up and ran out of the smoke.
I ran into a little cave... That I found only years ago. Its hidden by my magic and only visible to me. So my family can't find me.
I walked in and placed Kalila one the couch. I walked into the kitchen and put on a pot of water and some mint berry tea.
I stopped as I was filling the pot and looked back at the couch. Kalila laid there lifeless.
"Why do I feel like I need to help you..." I sigh before leaving the pot and turning back to her.
I went and sat in the chair opposite the couch. The only sound was her soft breathing.
"Could you please tell me..." I say placing my hands on my face in anger "please..."
