The humans

Kalila's POV

Sprinting through the forest I lost all my sence of direction. I couldn't see the sun through my speed and the trees.

But Tamals footsteps were as clear as daylight...

My chest aching and my head pounding as I continued, until I tripped over. Scrambling to my feet I feel my grazed knee begin to bleed.

I rushed into a tree as Tamal joined me from underneath. He didn't sound like he was puffed at all. He looked around his surrounding areas then he smiled looking up. Our eyes met and he seemed startled by it. His eyes went wide.

I just starting moving when he jumpped into the tree with me... He pushed my back against the trees trunk and our eyes met again. But this time he didn't seem happy... Nor angry.

He seemed sad...

"I...I don't know how your doing this, but I don't want you to think I care" he started

"What?" I say but he came closer to me. He placed his hand beside my head.

"I don't know whether I should kill you know or wait..." He whispered in my ear. The words rang through my head.

"I... I don't know what you talking about" I say raising my hand to his. He looked from my eyes to our hands as I grabbed his.

"I can't not learn more..." He said as I lifted his hand away from me. His words made me question my self. "Go..."

He stepped back from me and I jumpped down from the tree. He continued to watch me. Until I was gone.

Some time later I found the entrance to the humans forest. Then to the main city. I use my magic to change my outfit into a human style.

Feeling confidence boil inside me I left the forest into the city when a boy ran into me.

"Arh!" I scream as I fell. A hand grabs mine catching me in my fall.

"Sorry about that... I didn't see you until it was too late. Are you alri..." The boy said as he pulled me up.

"It's fine. Um... Are you alright?" I say looking up after fixing my skirt I was now wearing.

"I... Ah... Yea I'm fine thanks" he says shaking what ever was in his mind off. "Oh right I'm Alex... And these and my friends Micheal, Caleb and David"

"Wait... Oh" I say watching as some other boys showed up to. "Sorry I didn't see you there..."

"It's fine..." A blonde haired boy says walking over to Alex. "I couldn't care less" he was so anticlimactic...

"For you maybe but I think this girl should apologize... Maybe with a kiss..." A black haired boy says walking over to me

I was confused... "What's a kiss?" I ask looking at the boy's

"You dont know what a kiss is?" The blonde boy says

"It's nothing... Caleb is just acting..."

"No I'm not! I mean it... And besides" Caleb shouted at Alex "someone has to show her"

"Well... If that's the case I'll happily help you demonstrate.." the final boy... Michael said walking over to Caleb.

"Back off! You freaking weirdo..." He pushed his friend back.

I was getting no where with these boy's... "Hey was just wondering... There was word about this forest being"

"Oh... You mean the forest being torn down for more building's... You would have to ask David about that..." Alex said smiling

"Fine... My father said that they were going to go ahead with it... But not here down the south more"

"Few..." I sigh to myself.

"Thats what I thought..." David said...

"Your not going on about that again are you?" Michael says walking away.

The others followed him. But David just turned to face the forest I had just been in.

"You aren't going with them?" I ask him. He seemed to be thinking

"Nah... I think I might go for a walk in there though..." He says turning to me. His voice seemed the slightest bit happier than before.

"Well I was just in there but I didn't find what I was looking for... So I will have to go back from in again" I say. I needed to make sure he didn't go to far...

"Sure... I'd love the company..." He says walking into the forest I follow after checking my necklace for my magic essence. It was almost full. I should be fine.

We had been walking for a while when I heard something off to my right hand. I tried to not worry David but he was already staring in that direction.

"Did you hear that?" He asked me. His face was almost exited by the sounds. But after the meeting with Tamal and Fia I wasn't so exited myself.

"I... Did. But I think it was just a animal"

"Exactly!" He was so happy...

But it didn't have time to be able to say anything because I saw something move. And so did David.

It was Tamal and Fia. But their clothes were human like.

"Who are they?" David said "and why are they staring at you?"

"I umm..."

Tamal walked over. He didn't speak he just glared at me. He didn't smile or frown. He held his hand as a fist and I saw it.

Fia ran over to him and grabbed his shoulder... He wasted happy with what ever it was that she whispered to him. But he just looked at me... Then to David with a smile.

"I don't have a good feeling about this... What's going on?" David said.

"Please don't... It's none of his business..." I shout to Tamal. Who smiled.

"Oh your so cute!" Fia says looking at David.

"Ah ha..." David wasn't sure what should be said.

"Kalila... I think it's time for you to come with me to have a... Chat" Tamal says grabbing David's arm brutaly.

David would have shouted if Tamal hadn't been n lding his hand over David's mouth.

"Okay..."
