'Good luck, sweetie,' mum whispers. She used to wish me luck every time I got on the train. 'Good luck with classes!' 'Good luck with making friends!' 'Good luck with Quidditch!'
But now it's 'Good luck, sweetie,' which means 'Good luck with killing the guy who has given us a new life from a bad reputation,'
I sigh.
'Yeah. Thanks mum,' I turn away and walk onto the train.
Up until a month ago Hogwarts was my favourite place.
Now I have nightmares about going back.
I find a compartment with Draco. His little gang already there.
When he sees me he's up and out of his chair wrapping his arms around me. I couldn't feel more safer in this moment. 'I didn't know where you were. I thought I would be alone. I was worried about you,' he says into my neck.
'What? That you would have to do it alone?' I say laughing sadly.
'Yeah. Not at all because I care about you,' he says rolling his eyes.My heart flutters and I'm smiling like an idiot.
He cares about me!'Can I sit?'
He nods and gets a girl, with a look alike pugface, to move.
I sit and get weird looks from his friends.'Guys. This is Winona-'
'The girl who you're always talking about?' The fat boy said.Colour fills Draco's cheeks. Not very much but enough to know he's embarrassed. 'Shut it Crabbe,'
I smile and look down at my feet. My blonde hair shielding my face.
'What's so good about her, Draco?' Pug face says. Or more spits all over me.
I look up at her, my eyebrows furrowed. 'Disrespectful much?' I say.
Draco snorts. Then looks at pug face. 'Pansy. Cool. She's just a friend,'
Well that one bruised my ego.
I look up and see 'Pansy' looking a little to smug. I just want to slap the look from her puggish, ugly face!
'I just came to say hi. I've got friends to get to,'
'Damn right you do,' Pansy hisses. I glare at her.'No! Stay! We need to talk,' Draco says.
I know what he wants to talk about. 'It's not something we talk about publicly, Draco. Besides, I am sure your friends would like your attention. I'm pretty sure the had a much more eventful holiday than we did,' then I walk out of the compartment. Slamming the door for effect.
Damn. I forgot my bag. I can't go back in there.
Draco comes out with my bag. He looks up the aisle and sees me. He walks towards me, slowly. As if I'm some dangerous beast.
And I am. At the moment that is.
'You left your bag,'
'I noticed,' I snap back. Being the stuck up Ravenclaw I am.He glares at me 'No need to get your nickers in a knot,'
I look at him. 'Have you been reading those muggle books in the library again?'
'Maybe,' he smiles shyly.
Then his face becomes serious and I know what he's going to say. 'Be serious now, Winona,''I don't think that's possible,' I smile.
He rolls his eyes but the corner of his mouth tugs upwards. 'We need to work out how we're going to get them in,'I nod. I put my hand on his chest. We both look at my hand then in each other's eyes. We stay like that until a compartment door behind us opens.
'Come on, Draco!' Pansy's impatient voice is heard. I look at him and pull away.
