I felt the collection of 4 short stories within "The Pembrokes" had done some justice to Fern's character which was not covered in too much detail in the original Novella, The Knight, The Goddess, The Angel. Her stories had been told in a slightly different light than I have initially planned. To be honest, after writing the stories, I preferred this version of Fern as compared to the original character in my mind.
I am glad Fern faded into the background when I wrote TKTGTA to allow Erica to take over as The Knight. I liked Fern better in this version and Erica suited the role better in TKTGTA.
