"Get away from her" Shikadai growls as Brief grins and activates his sharingan and he widens his eyes
"Shikadai! Don't!" Gaara yells as Brief grins and holds onto Shikadai's collar
"Now you can't escape Shikadai Nara" Brief grins as Shikadai looks at Boruto and Boruto nods and forms his rasengan
"Or can I?" Shikadai grins weakly as Boruto throws his rasengan and pushes Brief away, freeing everyone from the shadow bind
"Y-You..." Brief grunts as he grabs multiple shuriken and throw it toward them as Shikadai widens his eyes Who's the king you want to protect Shikadai?, Shikamaru's voice echoes in his mind. Shikadai grits his teeth as a wall of sand rises, blocking the shuriken as Gaara and Shinki widen their eyes "W-What?" He grunts as Shikadai throws a kunai toward Brief and Shikadai quickly teleports himself to Brief
"I'll protect my king no matter what" Shikadai glares and kicks Brief away as Brief grunts, a sand blanket then wraps Brief tightly as he grunts "You can't escape Brief. You're under arrested"
~Later
"Those sand you used to protect us, thanks a lot Kazekage-sama" Boruto smiles
"H-Huh? T-That wasn't me..." Gaara mumbles and turns to Shinki
"That wasn't me father... I used iron sand remember?" Shinki mumbles as the two of them then turn to Shikadai while he talks with Mirai
"Can't be right?" Sarada stammers as Gaara chuckles
"Well, he does have the Kazekage bloodline in him" Gaara mumbles and looks at Brief and the other men tied up in the corner
"I already contacted Naruto, those men are in their hands now" Kankuro mumbles as Gaara nods "So... She's Shikadai's girlfriend?" He grins widely
"Hai" Boruto nods
"Don't try pissing him off again Boruto" Inojin mumbles as Boruto laughs
"I have a question..." Mirai smiles "Those sands... It was you right?"
"I don't know..." Shikadai mumbles as he leans against the railing lazily "Could be, could be not"
"You seem to have woken up from something, did you thought of something?" Mirai smiles
"Well... My dad" Shikadai mumbles and takes out a shogi piece and hands it to Mirai
"King huh" Mirai chuckles "He gave you that talk?"
"Hai..." Shikadai mumbles
"So, who's the king you wanted to protect?" She asks as Shikadai looks up
"Not telling..." Shikadai mumbles as the train stops in front of them "Alright, we're going"
"Why aren't you telling me?" Mirai whines as Shikadai walks to the train
~Later that day
"Seems like you're alright Shikadai" Naruto smiles
"Hai... Sorry for the troubles I caused..." Shikadai bows
"Don't worry about it" Naruto smiles
"Why does this sounds so cliché..." Shikamaru grumbles "I swear I'm seeing deja vu in some sort of way..." He groans as Naruto chuckles
"All of you are dismissed" Naruto smiles as the kids left
"That was some hard mission..." Mirai chuckles the group stroll through the village
"Some nice dinner would be great by now" Boruto mumbles
"Alright... I'll treat all of you to some BBQ" Mirai smiles
"Now you sound like a great sensei!" Chocho cheers
"I have to head home..." Shikadai mumbles
"W-Why?" Inojin stammers
"Yeah, Mirai-sensei is treating us ttebasa" Boruto nods
"Sorry... I need something to think about alone..." Shikadai mumbles and walks toward the Hokage Mountain. Shikadai sighs as he walks to the hill and lies down as he stares at the clouds "Now I know why dad likes to watch the clouds from here..." He mumbles and closes his eyes
"Mirai-neechan, does every woman wants to be a bride?" A young Shikadai asks
"Well... Yeah" Mirai smiles as she looks up and swings her legs "I want to be Shika-niichan's bride but he's already married to Temari-san" She mumbles as Shikadai huffs
"If you want, I'll make you the bride" Shikadai huffs as his cheeks redden
"What?" Mirai stammers as Shikadai looks at her
"If I get married, doesn't that make you my bride?" Shikadai claims "Shikadai will also be very happy is you can live with me, mom and dad" He states
"S-Shikadai..." Mirai stammers "Then wait until you grown up alright Shikadai?" She smiles as Shikadai looks at her
"Man..." Shikadai flinches as he wakes up and rubs his arms "I overslept..." He grunts and stands up as he walks back to his house Why am I suddenly dreaming of that... He grunts and holds onto his head and opens the door
"Welcome home son" Temari smiles as Shikadai walks inside "If you're hungry, I'll heat up dinner for you"
"It's ok... I'm not hungry" Shikadai mumbles and walks upstairs
"I thought you're with Mirai?" Shikamaru mumbles as Shikadai walks past his office
"I didn't feel like eating out..." Shikadai mumbles as he stops and thinks for a while
"You need something?" Shikamaru smiles as Shikadai walks in
"Dad... What does it mean to grow up?" Shikadai asks as Shikamaru looks at him
"Grow up?" Shikamaru stammers as Shikadai nods, he rubs his neck and smiles

I think I did a horrible job of developing Shikadai and Boruto's relationships but this story is coming to a close :v I'll start to have the relationships between Mirai and Shikadai develop in the next chapter and have Boruto and Sarada's relationship soon after. Hope you enjoy and thanks for enjoying the story
This chapter may also seem boring and short :v But I'm really excited to update the next Chapter! I really like it but I don't know about any of you... Chapter 14 may be out in a few hours time
