This chapter happens before Shikadai confess his feeling to Mirai =))) Shikadai did gave advice and helped Boruto a little with the preparation. I had a hard time thinking of how Boruto could confessed :v I don't want it sound as cringy as the one I wrote on the previous chapter XD Then again, I hope you all like it :v I suck at romance so...

"Sorry Boruto, this is all I can do for you..." Shikadai sighs "I can't help you when you're on your missions..."
"Oi... You told the old man to let me and Sarada in a mission?" Boruto stammers
"Well... That's what I could do... I tried to convince him that you two can work together" Shikadai mumbles "I have to argue with him about our teamwork and your teamwork with Sarada" He shrugs "It as a pain but I managed to convince him..."
"Man... I can't do it alone... You know that!" Boruto grumbles as Shikadai sighs
"Fine... Go tell him yourself..." Shikadai mumbles "It's too troublesome for me..."
"Where do you think you're going?" Boruto yells as Shikadai looks at him
"Home... I have a shogi match with Mirai and I don't want to miss it" Shikadai mumbles
"Mirai?" Boruto asks "Oi... What happen with the Nee-chan part?"
"I'm an adult... I can take away that honorific..." Shikadai mumbles as he puts his hands behind his head and walks away
"Adult? You're only 19..." Boruto grumbles as he sighs and looks at the hokage building "Alright... I have to convince him before he actually give out the mission..." He sighs
~Later
"Please dad, you have to listen to me!" Boruto yells
"First of all, it's lord seventh or hokage-sama" Naruto sighs "You won't listen anyway so why do you want Shikadai to be with you?"
"Dad... You're a baka sometimes" Boruto sighs as Shikamaru snickers and holds on his laughter "Shikadai's the only jonin and you can't send two chunin alone"
"I was about to promote you and Sarada to jonin..." Naruto sighs "With your records like this, you two are the best shinobi in Konoha... Beside, Shikadai has to be with Temari in Suna in a few days"
"Shikadai has the Hiraishin no Jutsu, he can teleport Temari-san there" Boruto argues as Naruto sighs
"Why do you want Shikadai to go with you?" Naruto asks
"You can send Shikadai and one more shinobi if you want..." Boruto mumbles "Shikadai is an experienced jonin... If you want, you can add Mirai-sensei"
"No can do... Mirai's about to go out on a mission with Kaiko..." Naruto sighs "Fine... In your upcoming mission, I'll send Konohamaru-han with Shikadai as the team leader" He mumbles
"Mitsuki huh..." Boruto grins "Great, thanks old man!" He smiles widely and left as Shikamaru chuckles
"What are you laughing about?" Naruto grumbles
"Your son called you baka" Shikamaru snickers "It's not everyday to see someone insult the hokage" He chuckles as Naruto sighs
"You changed a lot Shikamaru... You know that" Naruto mumbles as Shikamaru grins and left
"You did convinced him..." Shikadai sighs as Boruto grins
"Shikadai... I know you're suppose to go with your mother to Suna" Naruto mumbles
"Yeah... Finally got to meet Shinki and Gaara-ojisan again after 3 years..." Shikadai mumbles under his breath as he glares at Boruto "Seems like my chance is ruined because of you" He sighs
